Do you guys ever wonder where all the donations go to? The site lags at times... So it makes me wonder where do our money go? I'm not trying to stir up trouble, but just curious because my bf told me that sites usually makes money off of members signing on and advertising for companies. I noticed that you have to be a donating member to participate in a few things... conspiracy maybe lol?

No I never wondered that at all. What I have wondered is how they can continue to add people and keep upgrading the software to handle just a large group of people and not charge Donations never are mentioned unless someone asks about it. You can be on this site for years and not miss a thing without giving a donation but if you do donate there are a few extras given. I see nothing wrong with that.

Hmmm... I guess that makes sense.

I never questioned it until my boyfriend mentioned it to me. He's always frowning upon this site. I always had to back it up until his comments got to me. So I started to wonder where does the money go because the site doesn't work at times and you have to donate a certain amount to post in the for sale thread and GE. Don't get me wrong I love this site and the members on here!

Sweetie, I hope I don't get you in trouble but tell your BF that Crystalsmom wants to know if he has always been a cheap skate

If you go to a concert one ticket is $50 or more and a play for good seats usually over $100and that is just for one night so for entertainment every day and every night for years is a ONE TIME $25...geez most of us consider it a bargain.

LMAO!!!! I should tell him that! I guess he's just jealous how I spoil my babies more than I do with him lol. My bf always go on this forum about car audio, so he would compares that forum with this one. MEN

I don't mind donating at all... I shouldn't have let his comments get to me... I had to explain to him why the donations helped. So far, he hasn't made any more comments. He spends so much on his car audio equipments... I should nag at him for that lol.

Anyway don't tell him this but I didn't donate right away and at Christmas time alot of us have other things to do with our money but when we can get it together it's the best bargain in the universe

All donations will go towards the cost of hosting, running, and maintaining YorkieTalk.com and keeping the place as friendly as possible, for users new and old! Donations are in no way required. i just donated (it was the least i could do considering all the good tips i got in just a few days ... better than sitting down and reading 50 gazillion books LOL) ... would never want anything to happen to this forum!!!

Congratulations!! I know just what you mean. For every problem, there are at least a dozen "different" good ideas on a solution. That way, you can always choose the one that fits your style better. YT is priceless!!
