Do you all have this problem on other browsers? Some forums' software are apparently known to have problems supporting IE9. |
Everything I work on is IE9; however, I do believe that they did work on IE8 at work before they made the change over to IE9......... |
I used to be just like you - IE is my favorite browser of all and I used it for years in my work. Still, the speed of Chrome finally lured me in. Why don't you download Google Chrome and try it. If your smilies work on YT using it, you can use IE9 for every other site except YT and just use emoticons to your heart's content. I'm very addicted to Chrome now as it's faster though the convenience and familiarity of IE was hard to give up. Still when I need to do some things, I go back to my IE and use it. |
It may depend which editor mode you're choosing to use and that's listed in your preferences under "edit options." See this thread for more information http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/4379118-post13.html |

:D Oh no! This is weird. I :D DK what's going on. :( :( I can't see the smilies when I type (not the colors, just the characters) and when I sent a PM, I got the smilies to work but then it wouldn't let me type a msg! |

Don't they work in Chrome for you - just FireFox? I use Chrome and smilies work fine in it. I understand that some forums' software just cannot support IE9 and all it's useful gadgets. |
