I'm so glad you got on again and thank goodness Admin and the techies got it all fixed for you. What did you copy to Facebook - the denial screens? Did you print the screens and past them there or what. Need to know if I can so that I will know what to do if I ever face this. Does Admin then just go to your FB page from a link and look for photos and look for the copies?
Hope you can get some rest tonight as this is at last off your mind! :) |
Well, Jeanie, what I did was ran a trace route in my command prompt on my computer. Then I did a screen print of it (there is a button on your keyboard - to the right of where you normally type- up at the top left that says "Scr Prnt" or something like that). You click Screen Print when you want to capture the picture of whatever is on your monitor at that time. Then, I opened paint in my Accessories (I have Windows). I did Ctrl + P and that pastes what I copied on Screen Print to the paint window. I saved that.
Then, I signed onto Facebook and went to Yorkietalk's Facebook page - here, if you want to bookmark it:
https://www.facebook.com/yorkietalk?fref=ts
Then, there is a button to click on that says "message" and this sends a Facebook version of a PM. I told Admin what was going on and then I added my picture that I saved of my screen print.
He replied that his tech peeps would look into it, but nothing had changed on the site in that time so not sure what was going on.
I then wanted to make sure it wasn't on my end (I was pretty sure, but worth a try). I contacted my ISP (AT&T) via online chat. They had me run that trace route again because I couldn't paste the picture I had in the chat box. lol. I ran it, had to right click and then hit Ctrl + V to copy it. Then, it was too much stuff so I had to break it up for it to fit in the chat. Sorry you asked yet? lol I opened up Notepad and hit Ctrl + P and my trace route was there so I could then highlight sections and copy/paste to the chat screen.
Once my ISP customer service tech saw it, he verified it was on YT's end. After a certain amount of hops, it leaves the AT&T server. I did a screen print of the chat with them saying that and went back to my message on YT's facebook page. I told them what my ISP said and attached that chat pic.
I believe YT/Admin/Tech Guys had already figured that out because it was only about 5 minutes later that I was able to get on here. lol
I really bugged them and I was seriously balling my eyes out by the end..couldn't even catch my breath. I think that was a combo of an entire week of this, nerves, scared it wasn't going to be fixed, and sudden relief. :D
