Is there a way to block a thread? Just wondering... I know you can block a user you don't want to hear from (although I don't have that issue). Is there a way you can block a thread from popping up on your list of new posts? There have been a few since I joined that I am not interested in reading that keep being updated and it sure would be nice not to see them all the time. |

Well, there have been several. It's usually when it looks like someone is trolling to get the group upset, and people can't stop commenting on it. You know -- the "I didn't neuter my male dog but I can't imagine how my female got pregnant, and now she's unconscious in the corner - do you think I should call the vet next month?" type posts. I know how to unsubscribe, but these are not posts to which I'm subscribed -- they just keep popping up when you search on "New Posts" and it irritates me to see them over and over. I don't want to miss any of the other posts I haven't seen, so I don't think the UserCP or unanswered posts would be my choice. Guess there are worse problems in the world to worry about... |

Maybe if you block the OP of the thread that's bothering you... as you probably aren't interested in anything else they have to say either? But I'm not sure, I don't have experience with blocking people... yet! :D Mental Block: Not giving others the power to mess up your day! |
Ok, what does it say about me that I lurked here for a year and have been active for 8 months and didn't even know there was a "new posts" button until just now? |

If this thread stays active long enough it's possible Boopster may have to "ignore" her own posts:D How do you not know there is a New Posts link? @kjc and @Rhetts_mama |
Hee hee. Did you get another dog? I don't remember seeing the one on the right before. |
@ Karen- I've just always clicked on the particular forum I was interested in and then read down the list from there. Shrug. I still can't get the search function to work half the time either. |

The search has never worked well for me either. I am usually stunned if it does work. I still try it every once in a while. But usually it doesn't come close to what I am looking for. Then out of the blue, it will give me a valid search result. Who knows -- has a mind of its own and I think it has an iron-clad contract or tenure, or it would have been fired long ago. |

I didn't recognize one of the pics in Mary's avatar, but when I looked at the album link she sent... Duh! Was hoping that one would slide by quietly but you can't get away with anything here. Sheesh! Hope my brain will stay in gear today. Once I actually wake up, that is. |

Does anyone still need help finding the "new posts" feature? Work is slow and I need something to do. (other than shopping for Kaji) |

For those who want to know how to get to the "New Posts" feature, click on the "YorkieTalk" banner at the top of the window. It'll take you to what I think is the YT homepage. On the left under the banner, there will be a User CP box where your avatar shows up. Under the avatar it says "You last visited:" and it has 2 links under that. "New Posts" and "Log out." I really like the New Posts feature because you can see how much activity there is on YT. Right now, mine shows there are 319 new posts since the last time I checked. I also check the unanswered threads. There might be someone needing immediate help and no one has seen it yet because it isn't bumped it. I go there and bump it for them. |
