I love this idea! I would love to trade some of bella's old clothes for new ones!:) |
i think this is a good idea. can't wait to see the final decision on how this is going to work. morgan has tons of clothes that she does not wear and toys she does not pay for. if someone offers up something for trade would we be able to offer them something of ours to trade for it? say they have a nice $50 monkey daze outfit that i wanted. would i be able to offer up a few less expensive dresses to trade for that one item? this way the trade is between two people. i get something and they get something so neither is left without something. |

:D Maybe you could write a simple program that would work within the vBulletin framework that would track this information :) |

Ok well this is getting confusing for me:confused: I was just thinking of me listing some items that I have for trade whether it be toys, clothes, or carriers and people can let me know what they would trade me for it. |

This is a great idea and gives each member more of a decision in what they can select from as people that maybe wouldn't want to sign up to the box idea would be free to browse the trade forum at any time just to see what is available. Quote:

Ahh I see the light, that makes sense. Hopefully it works out like that. Now just tell me what I can trade for some smoochie lips? (I am wonderin if I say it enough if they will magically appear) |

I was reading the whole first page and thought my eyes were going to fall on the floor. Way too confusing and way too much information, I felt like my blonde hair was pushing on my brain, made me feel stupid in easier terms. Anyway, I agree with the last few posters above me, keep it very simple so people like myself can understand it. I say someone should be able to post what they want to trade, descriptions and pictures and then someone else (who is interested) lets the poster know what they would trade for their items. Poster then has the right to say yay or nay. Trading then proceeds if the answer was yay. |
If we're not doing the chests, actually, I think from post #21 onwards makes a lot of sense. So simple. The fact that OP has the say of whether or not they will accept the trade makes perfect sense. Then it's not a "first come first served" basis because the first one interested in OP's item may not have anything OP wants however, if OP doesn't care that that's the case, OP still then reserves the right to ship out the item to the interested party without expecting anything back or maybe would be happy with a dog biscuit. :p That's the simplest way to do it. IMO. Not as exciting as a chest virtual or physical but.. it's something new-ish. :) |

If members prefer one-on-one trading and would prefer that route, we would be happy to oblige and institute a trading forum for one-on-one trades. The example we gave regarding suggested value would be based on an honor system. It all depends whether YorkieTalk members would prefer giving goods to members in a chest-like system, or whether they prefer 1-on-1 trading. |
