| Selling On Yorkie Talk... I know this may sound self serving because I sell clothes for small dogs on this site but I don't think its fair to me and the other ladies that are members of YT and contribute to the forums and post every day that anyone with a store can come in here and sell things and then just leave and we never hear from them again. I tried to do this on a popular Chi site and was bombared with angry PM's about how I needed to have at least 50 posts to sell on their site. I have no problem at all with anyone going to a web site and buying things from other makers, I do it myself. I just think YT is a community and we should not let just anyone come in here and hawk their products and leave, never to be heard from again unless they have something else to sell. I also have no problem at all with contributing members selling things they make or just want to get rid of for whatever reason. I just think a minimum 50 post rule like the Chi site has is a fair idea and one worth considering. |

| HMMMMM well... I don't sell anything but I would think if someone only made a product and didn't have a Yorkie it might be hard to join in. Or also they could like make 50 ridiculous posts just to bump their number up to 50 and then not talk anymore ....so what was the point of the 50 anyway. I was thinking that for someone just starting out that rule might discourage them, and let's face it...the seller's who have been around the block are going to get around a rule like this. |

| Joy, the quality and reasonable prices you offer are going to get more sales anyway! Don't worry about those other people! Remember..."we are more than conquerors......." E.

| I don't know about everyone else but I get nervous about buying stuff from people so I don't generally do it...but if I was going to (and probably will soon) I would buy it from one of you guys that have been here for awhile....so you have nothing to worry about....everyone will pry be loyal to our long time members that we have gotten to know through posts etc...

| Yes I agree with the others. Nice places like yours sell themselves , along with all your forum input. Many people feel more confident with all the recommendations posted about the regular Yorkietalker sellers who have good stuff |

| Joy your stuff is really cute and you have no need to worry about losing any business by these people that come here only to sell. We are all selling items that are unique from eachother. And I think there are more than enough doggie dressers on this site to keep us all in business. Isn't there a thread about yorkietalk rules for selling stuff? I can't find it. Does anyone know where it is? Last edited by chloeandj; 08-26-2005 at 08:29 AM. |
