What does Trackback mean? - YorkieTalk.com Forums

I see the yellow box that says "trackback" at the bottom when i reply to someones post. Can someone 'spain to me what that means??

i know what tags mean but have never seen the trackback. it must be something important as it shows up at the bottom of every post.

A trackback is usually just another site linking to a particular thread or blog post. Here is an explanation.

We don't see where there may be a yellow box with Trackbacks, however...

It is only under the advanced reply. Does yours not have it???

Oddly enough, we don't see it, under this account or another account used for testing.... We're not doubting you or anything, we'll have to check why that is. There's another explanation for Trackbacks on YorkieTalk as well, here:

Yes, we do see it now. Thank you. It's just there as an option, you may choose to use it if you would like, it isn't required or anything.

Well i read all those "explainations" but i am more confused by it now than i was!!

..guess i don't need that feature as it makes absolutely NO SENSE to me!

LOL!! Guess this old dog can't learn this new trick!
