Phantom Queen Morrigan Donating Member | Foreign bodies can happen to any size dog. if caught quickly, the surgery will take the object out and everything should be fine inside. They should stay in the hospital for at least a day so the vet can make sure there is nothing else wrong and that the dog can keep food and water down with out throwing up. i hope the surgery went well.

| I had many human patients who swallow things.. like box cutters...triple A batteries and rocks etc... But they have medication for that behavior!!! I worry about Bella all they time. IT doesnt matter what I drop she grabs it. Now i can at least get her to drop it when she is running away. When she was smaller I would distract her with a toy and she would drop it. Now she relunctantly drops it about 10 feet from me on command. So I guess we are making progress!! I hope there is no foreign object in her belly..but keep us posted. Good luck |

| She didn't have an object and she survived the operation. She had inflammed intestines. It something she ate and that really did not do well with her. I will change her diet for sure. But she has an angel has a vet. He brought her home with him this weekend to take care of her. Last night he phoned me and told me she was better. She is on intravenous fluids and he's giving her medication. If it wouldn't be for the good clinic I went to she'd probably be dead. She had jaundice saturday morning! Anyway, I have to go but I will keep you updated soon Please keep you prayers for me! |
