So glad to hear he's doing well after surgery. You're probably looking at a long road to recovery. Heavy restrictions for at least a month and then it starts to lessen but with lots of PT. you can do it ! good luck! |
I am so glad the surgery is over and he did well. Let's hope he has a speedy recovery! |
can't walk fully yet? he will be there till fri and hopefully home. i am a little concerned about the fact that he isnt walking 100% ?he is a little weak on his left side they said. Am I being a worry wort or what?any ideas or opinions? any one have similar experiences? thanks, stu |
well, I would think the physical therapy would help with that. He has been affected for awhile, been weak & not using some of his muscles. Did you ask about acupuncture? If your vet doesn't know about the acupuncture, I would consult with an acupuncture vet and see if he might be able to supplement the recovery process. - As I may have told you before acupuncture is what saved one of my dogs that was paralyzed after a stroke. |
Stu, sorry no ideas, but sending lots of prayers... |

my vet does do it and have spoken about. the hospital is giving him intensive pt everyday. which should help him...i guess i want him to be able to walk quicker than i have patients for. but youknow, so little and delicate these guys are. |
Sounds like he's doing better. I know that patience thing is really trying. I had to wait 2 weeks for my little guy to get back to normal this spring and it was really hard. Your guy is a senior like mine so you just have to take it slow. But I bet everything will be ok. Be sure to keep us updated. |
