| v quiet new pup advice? hi all i know this site is for yorkie talk..i have 2 yorkies and my sister has just brought a new jr terrier pup..so asking for a bit of advice on the jr... she brought him home yesterday..the kennels she brought him from told her that he had been very quiet since having his jabs and thought he may be feeling a little unwell from them..the lady who runs the kennels had given him antibiotics as a "precaution" but couldnt actually say why??..so she brings him home and he is eating and drinking fine going to the toilet absolutely fine...he is just so quiet he is not like other pups we have had in the past( i have breed from my yorkies) and they have been so diff to this little guy..she said to bring him back if we wasnt happy but..the only symptons he has is that he is quiet..is this because he was brought up in kennels wich are extremly diff conditions to what my pups were raised in it seems that he just needs to learn how to be amoungst a family any views and thoughts would be greatly appreciated....

| I'd say he could just be trying to adjust to the change in environment. Give him a week or so, and he should be better. He might just be a quiet little guy.

| poor little guy is still adjusting!! it can be scary for them and if you said he got his vaccinations some have adverse reactions... Layla will sleep all day and the next after getting her shots... so it could be that... and the antibiotics... but if he is eating and drinking like normal i'd just give him some time to adjust. |
