So sorry for your baby girl. Sending prayers that all goes well. |
Hi all: thanks for your good wishes for my little girl. We just got back from the Garden State Veterinary Hosp. They have many specialists...the doctor we met with agrees with everything that the vet we took her to last night said. he is her original vet we had switched for a while but had gone back to him again (for good reason). GiGi is scheduled for surgery tomorrow morning and we are going to keep the appointment. It appears that even if this growth is benign it still has to be removed cause it will continue to grow and more of her tail would have to be removed. So it the choice between now or later and later could be worse. So I don't see any good coming from waiting day to day for an emergency. Or I should say I wish I had that option but too risky. I would like to have her in perfect health ASAP. No rolling the dice. This is not the kind of growth that has a large percentage of success if not removed. So of course I am a nervous reck and worried to near death and just praying that she is home ok tomorrow. Well thanks you all for keeping in touch with me. Had to work fast today. And of course both my peanuts are getting some good home cooked food tonight. Tina |
How is Gigi doing after her surgery? Praying she is doing well. Did they bioposy what was removed? |
all our love and positive thoughts are going your way ... hope all goes well ... you are right to find the very best vet there is .... good luck ... |
I was thinking about GiGi today. I hope everything is fine and she is on the road to a quick recovery. |
Just checking for updates on Gigi.................... |
Hi all: Thanks so much for checking in. I had posted a new thread that the growth had changed. I also posted some more today regarding some particulars about the vets and how they handled the office visit diagnoses. I have to say again I appreciate all the prayers, hope and concern that you all had for this little peanut. The morning of the scheduled surgery the growth started to show signs of healing (or what "might" be healing). So the surgery was cancelled. We did though get some xrays done and the local vet gave us some topical to put on the growth and so far it looks like it is dissolving the growth. Although I am not totally sure we are out of the woods yet it is still looking very good. I must say that it was all your prayers that healed my little girl. And I thank you all again.;) Good luck and good health to you and yours. We love you all. Tina |

Still praying for your baby... |
Yes , my mind is slowly clearing. I was a real scare. It seems that the growth is still healing. It does ooze a little and not totally flat. But it looks 'much" better. I don't even think I will take her back to the vet (unless of course). I think I should have listened to those of you who said to keep an eye on it for a while. But I guess I jumped the gun when I didn't see enough change in it that looked like it was healing. With these little you can't tell the same you can with us. But thanks for your help and support... hugs to you all:hearts-xx Tina |
I will be praying for your baby, happy and positive thoughts going your way! |
I'd say 'jumping the gun' is not a bad thing. We just love our baby's so much! It's better to be on the safe side. I'm so glad she looks like she's healing. I'll continue to pray for her though until she's completely healed. Thanks for the update! |
