Praying for them all |
I just got this update, so Im just going to copy and paste it here and ask you all to keep the prayers coming please. Hey ladies. Thanks for the support. It means a lot to me. Just got home from the vet. He says it doesn't look too good. He says he thinks it's too late for any sort of repair to her kidneys/liver. He is 95% positive it's antifreeze. Her getting sick was so rapid but in order to treat it you have to get into the vet within 9 - 12 hours after ingestion. Then it apparently turns into kidney failure and isn't treatable. She had 2 seizures when we were down there with her, omg it feelsl ike my heart is breaking. He's trying to flush out her system with IV fluids and emptied her stomach just in case she had anything left in her. He also said it could be pancreatitis but he doesn't think so. She's going to be staying down there and I'm going back to visit her after we have dinner. J's staying home with Jacob. I took a look around our backyard (dogs haven't been out in the front lately) and couldn't find anything. Bailey, Dozer & Annie (our cat) have been acting fine but the vet said to keep them inside except to go out to potty just in case. He said antifreeze is tasty to animals so they'll go and seek it out. I don't know what else to do. I guess we gotta wait and see if she pulls through. He said if she ingested enough of it she could be in a coma within a day or 2 Ladies, I honestly know prayer works and if she has any sort of chance to recover from this, prayers are going to do it. So if you could keep us in your prayers that'd be wonderful. I'm so worried and stressed out, this is horrible and I honestly feel like my heart is breaking. |

I saw her on line, but she has not updated again yet Earlier I saw this thread on YT and for some reason it caught my eye when I was posting this prayer thread and so I showed it to her. http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/showthread.php?t=91979 And She said we did just do their flea/tick treatments this weekend. And wouldn't you know, we use K9 Advantix.. Thank you so much Deb for posting that story, I'm going to let the vet know about that and let him know we use it and see if that might help. I'll post when I get home. |
Update Thanks you guys... Just got home from the vet. She's doing the same. Just lying there, wasn't moving, ect. I told the vet about the flea medicine and he said it's a possibility. The treatment wouldn't change though, as both end in kidney/liver failure. The vet is going to give us a call if/when anything changes ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Ill update tomorrow when I hear more. Thanks you so much for your prayers please keep praying for her. Thank you all so much. |

Molly please get well...I pray that she is able to overcome this. Know that we are here for you and your friend...miracles do happen...and they happen for a reason. Let the doctors do what must be done to save this little girls life...make her well again, I pray. Question...I know how dangerous antifreeze is to animals, but why can't they, the makers of it, do something to it, change it, so it doesn't taste so good to them. I have never understood that. Many, many years ago I lost a puppy to this when I was just a child...so why in all these years have they not done something with antifreeze to avoid this from happening over and over again. If it didn't entice them, taste good...they would leave it alone and they wouldn't have to go through this. Again, Molly is now and will be in my daily prayers...God please watch over Molly...make her well again, and soon...Amen |
Lots of prayers going out to Molly and her family. |
Poor little angel!! Prayers are being said for her! Please keep us posted!! |
poor little Angel, lots of prayers coming her way ! |
Praying for Molly and her family. If the antifreeze is true - I just don't know how anyone could be that evil in their heart! |
still praying for little molly. get well soon little angel. |
So sorry, I'm praying for little Molly. |
I hope we start getting better news...I too lost a yorkie to what the vets thought was antifreeze when I was a child. I will never understand why they can't make antifreeze a foul smell so that dogs are not attracted to it...I agree with wemple2 completely on this. It was the saddest thing....I pray that this story has a happy ending!! I am praying for her yorkie... |
Oh my... Prayers and prayers and prayers for Molly girl. :hands: :hands: :hands: :hands: :hands: |
Well there was no antifreeze to be found and her other dogs are fine. She is an inside dog. They are now thinking it was the K9 advantix they just put on her. Today she is still lifeless not able to move, they are going down there to be with her. Please keep praying for this baby girl. |
Oh my...poor little girl... |
