| Justice - Perienal hernia Hi I was wondering if anyone's baby has went through this. Justice is my 10 year old and I just noticed this bump on his bum on Tues. so I took him to the vet and the asst checked him and said it was a perienal hernia. She said it sould be serious b/c when she did the rectal exam if felt like his intestines were in the sac. $500-600 to repair - Yiikkes...anywho I love my Justi and I would do anything for him - any advise from someone whose baby has experienced...He is on stool softener and antibiotics - they want me to bring him in asap to have the surgery. Worried, Ms Sweet Tea |

Donating YT 30K Club Member | Maya my 10 year old pom pom was diagnosed with that awhile ago. I took her to a surgeon and she said we could watch it and if Maya started having problems going the bathroom then do surgery. The cost here is 1000.00. So far no problems. MAybe you could get a 2nd opinion. Good luck

| perienal hernia I am going to try to take him tomorrow to another vet and in town and get a second opinion. Just curious did you know if her intestines were in the sac - I think this is what makes it critical. Also did the bump ever go away or does she still have it? Thanks for sharing Ms Sweet Tea |
