Holly is 5 lbs and the vet said that they shouldn't bleed that long. He said not for more than 10 days. I've already read on here that it's 7 going in 7 bleeding and 7 going out. So either way 5 weeks of bleeding was way too much. There is an obstruction like mentioned before. So whatever she should have "bled out" is still there. if that makes sense. Thanks Courtney. Tell Jeremy if I can borrow you to keep me company on Tuesday as she will be gone. I hope she's not lethargic. You know her. She's always playing and happy. I am hoping she does leave her stitches alone cause she is really curious.

Awww girl, I know you are worried about Holly. I was just so glad to hear earlier when you took her that it WASN'T an infection or anything. I am going to be a nervous wreck too when Tatum goes in to get spayed (although I AM the type that gets over the top freaked out) LOL - so I totally know how you feel girl :(

I will be thinking of Holly on Tuesday and wish for her to have an easy/uneventful surgery with a quick recovery.

That's what I'm hoping. She's constantly up and about so it's going to be a change if she's a bit lethargic. But I totally understand. So long as she is healthy, I'm cool with her being a lazy bug. LOL

Chloe had her surgery last month and I was a wreck. I'm such a paranoid freak when it comes to her, it was so hard to sit there.

I know everything will be okay, but trust me! I know how hard it is to believe when everyone's telling you it'll be okay and you're just worried about your baby.

Chloe was okay! When we went to pick her up at the vet, as soon as we walked through the door she heard me say "Hi" to the receptionist & went crazy. The vet nurse had said she had been sleeping & quiet until she heard me & Daddy. When they brought her out to me she was going crazy, then she just snuggled right up to my neck & slept all day & all night & pretty much the whole next day. She seemed to be in a lot of pain (even with pain meds) for about 5 days. Then we had a hard time keeping her still.

Good luck staying calm, girl!

How old is Holly? I'm glad you have an awesome vet who's taking such good care of your baby. She'll be a little tired, but she'll be ok.

Thanks. I'm usually calm, but to be honest, I've never had a dog this small and the ones I have had were already spayed or neutered. Holly is a runner. I really hope she is not in too much pain.

Holly is 8 months. She went into heat a week before she was scheduled to be spayed. She's so going to be mad that she can't eat for like 12 hours. LOL. But my main concern is that she comes out of the surgery okay.
