My lab got ahold of the bone (which was for a smaller dog) and massacred it into pieces. Being the gentleman that he is, he shared the pieces between himself and my two yorkies. This all happened within the time it took me to make a sandwich. They were all awfully quiet in the living room, so I did a quick check and saw Jedi first with a bloody piece of the bone. That is when I realized that he had broken a tooth on it. I thought that I had gotten all of the pieces, but now because Nomi is so sick, I am second guessing myself. THROW OUT ALL NYLABONE PRODUCTS! |
Update Nomi will be the testimony of the power of prayer! Thank you to all of those that included her in your prayer list. :) We were almost sure that she would have to have surgery today. I really believe that the vet thought that too. However when she went into x-rays this morning, the mass wasn't in her stomach. It is traveling - which is good because she may pass it on her own. She is on some Reglan to help her digestive system move it out. She didn't vomit at all yesterday (but didn't eat anything). My vet said that she can stay home as long as she is able to eat and hold something down today. Thus far she has been grazing some kibble and still drinks a lot, but seems more tired then anything else. We are hoping for the best and for the first time in her life, praying for lots of poop! |

I am so happy to hear this! I stopped giving mine any kind of bones due to some tummy problems. They still have the hooves but they may go to. |
I'm so glad your pup is doing better and won't need surgery. I can't believe your larger dog actually broke his tooth on the darned thing! Is he doing ok? Tell him that sometimes it's ok NOT to share! |
I am so happy to hear that she is doing better and does not need to have the surgery, will continue praying for your baby. |
Thank goodness your babies are better.. Otis also had a bad experience with a Nylabone. It gave him terrible diarrhea and when he passed the chunks he ate they looked exactly the same as when he chewed them.. They are terrible. I wish they could be pulled off the shelves. |
