HI Brooke I had the same thing happen with sweet little Farrah I had sold her to a nice family in IL and the stress of being in a car and new family can bring it out. Her's is a long story but I brought her back home so I could take care of her..She is a tiny one also her weight right now is 2lbs finally :) And she bill be 5 months. The Vet used Flagel and Albon...And I gave her Nutra-Drops and Pedilyte. And to get her to eat I cooked fresh ground turkey breasts with canned pumpkin she would eat that:) And it took about 2 weeks to clear..Well she is doing great all better and just a spit fire ! Here is a pic of her. I actually still have her and she is a spoiled little Diva. On the pic she is mad at me grooming day:mad: | Oh my goodness, she is GORGEOUS!!!! That face truly is just SO stunning! What a darling little angel and I am so sorry to hear that she was sick with this nasty stuff as well - she sounds tiny too, just like my Tate :( These poor little babies!
I am giving Tate Pedialyte (she LOVES it!) in a syringe several times through out the day just to make sure that she stays hydrated (I don't know to risk anything with her being so small), but she really is eating fairly well. One of her meds she is supposed to have AFTER she has eaten....so before I give her the meds, I give her some of her dry food (Canidae) ground up, mixed with chicken baby food...she really does just LOVE this :) And maybe it will put some weight on her teeny little butt too! :p
Also I wanted to tell you that you sound like an absolutely WONDERFUL breeder to take that sweet baby back and nurse her back to health :) That just shows how much you TRULY do care about your babies :) I am going to go check out your web site because that little girl's picture that you posted is just SO GORGEOUS, and I just love looking at Yorkie pictures :) |
