I'm sure Bobby is an idoor puppy but I'm just curious, do you go with him outside? do you have a back yard where he can be sniffing at plants? |
yes i have a yard but i dont take him outside on my backyard that often. i usually take him to the park. . . he's going to be seen by a specialist tomorrow. he's status as of right now still the same vomited three times his energy level is low. very low.well i called the vet earlier and said he was a lil more alert but no major changes in his condition so far. |
Did they do a bile acid test? That's not the same as regular/routine bloodwork...You have to ask for this test specifically if you want it done. The lethargy really scares me. I pray that your baby gets better. |
Just checking in to see how Bobby is doing this morning. I hope he is feeling better today and back to his ole playful self. |
I hope Bobby is feeling better today. |
I know you must be so frustrated and worried!! Did he see the specialist today? I'm waiting for you to tell us how that went! My Gemma did that a couple weeks ago. Just started vomiting for no reason, that we could find anyway. After a night of that, they admitted her in the hospital. Thankfully she came around and I brought her home the next day. But she is still worrying me! She threw up today and she is not eating very much! I have to force her to eat most of the time anymore  And of course lots of nutrical. All her tests came back negitive too.... I am in the Bay Area too....let me know what the specialist says and where you took him, if you don't mind.... I hope he comes around!! Quote:

Boy, I was hoping to hear some good news tonight...Bobby saw a specialist today didn't he? Did they have any ideas...what test have they run...what do they plan to do next. You mentioned that you take him to a park, could he have gotten a parasite from another dogs poop? I sure wish him well, he's been sick an awful long time...it must be hard on you too...I'm sorry that you've had to go thru this with Bobby. Get well soon little guy!!! Please when you can keep us updated, we're all worried and concerned . |
hello hello well, today i transfer bobby from the emergency hospital to the specialist in san mateo! in the morning bobby was the same he was very weak, and he vomited last night a couple of times, he also has diahreah. i transfer him to the specialist in san mateo. they did a couple of blood test, and also two more ultrasounds to help them diagnose. Earlier the specialist called me and she mention they dont have a dignosis yet but they think it might be a kidney infection that can be treated so they chage bobbys treatment plan he'll be getting more fluids and more medication to see if he responds to the treatment. Hopefully he's heading the right direction. The only thing is that i would not know of his condition until tomorrow morning because at the specialist office they dont answer calls after 7pm but there will be a nurse taking care of bobby around the clock :) well, as of now thats where things are standing as soon as i know something new i'll let everyone know. tHANK YOU FOR THE SUPPROT |

These little guys are much stronger than we think! ;) Let us know the results of the tests. We're all thinking of him!! |
Protein losing enteropathy My baby Mac went from healthy to dead in 10 days. They said he was losing protein. They tested for kidney disease and liver shunt. By the time they decided it was his intestines, it was too late I used to let him outside a lot. He vomited frequently and the vet always said as long as it stopped it was ok. I have a new little girl named Lolly. She is a much different temperament than Mac. She never goes outside without me or Tom. I control all she eats. I used to give Mac more people food. I always knew anything with caffeine or chocolate was dangerous, but I did give him tiny bits of meatloaf, lasagna, spaghetti all of which I now know is dangerous. Make them keep him in the hospital until he is a0k. Lolly and I send the healing white light. |
I was thinking kinda along the same lines as the rest of the group...the same thing happened to my Ona a few months back...yorkies have extremely SENSITIVE digestive tracts...the littlest thing can irritate them...so I ended up taking her to the ER vet...they did xrays to rule out an obstruction..did they do that??? then they gave her some IV fluids, some pepcid...she was also having extreme diarrhea....so i basically fed her cooked rice and boiled loose meat...she was better in no time, but she was profusely vomiting non stop and then she was lethargic....try a bland diet....please do not give up on her...she needs you...I know how frustrating it could be...yorkies can also get pancreatitis....I hope this helps....good luck...my prayers are with you and your baby.... :aimeeyork :aimeeyork |
