| Bella is vomiting Yesterday on the way into Manhattan Bella vomited in the car; I assumed it was carsickness although she has never gotten car sick and she has been on MANY car trips. Then she walked about a mile out of the 6.2 in the AIDS walk; she did fine and at the end was so tired just slept the entire way home; didn't eat that night. This morning she woke up and was starving so I fed her breakfast and she ate it all up; then threw up about 15 minutes later...she has been very lethargeic. I called the vet and am awaiting a call back; any suggestions for a tummy ache??

| She has threw up 8 times; the vet does not want to see her and I think it is VERY weird. I even brought her physically to the vet. They told me they werent going to see me; a dog vomiting is not an emergency. She is throwing up EVERYTHING. It seems like a mucus vomit not liquid. I tried an 1/8 of a teaspoon of Pepmo Bismol; no luck. I am really concerned. There is no other vets in my area either. I hope my baby is okay

| I would find a new vet. My vet would be concerned with that much throwing up also they will always see you even if it is last minute if you need to. They charge you a little extra for an emergency visit though

| my little man is 16 months old. i need to feed him right before he goes to bed becasue he had a problem once when he begasn throwing up overnight(that is why we dont want him going to bed on an emptly stomach). however, once around last summer he would throw multiple times for a couple of days straight. i brought him to the vet(worried that i was), but he told me that if he hasnt lost weight from the vomiting there is nothing to worry about(he was vomiting bile). Also, he told me he probably picked up something from the ground that caused his vomiting (which i am assuming is the case with your little baby). Please dont worry, your baby is fine! |

| I would definately find another vet. Last week (Memorial weekend) Cody threw up on Sunday only once. Then he threw up on Tuesday. I called the vet and she took him right in immediately saying you can't be to careful with vomitting. Nothing ended up being wrong with him, just and upset tummy. But with you baby throwing up so much I would definately take her somewhere. Good luck! Prayers and good wishes your way. Lots of yorkie kisses as well.

| This is what it says in my dog owners medical book: SPORADIC VOMITING Sometimes a dog vomits off and on over a period of days or weeks. There is no relationship to meals. The appetite is poor. The dog has a haggard look and appears listless. Suspect liver or kidney disease, or an illness such as chronic gastritis, stomach or duodenal ulcer, a heavy worm infestation or diabetes mellitus. In an older dog, supect a gastric tumor. A veterinary checkup is in order. PERSISTENT VOMITING If the dog vomits or retches repeatedly, bringing up a frothy, clear fluid, this suggests a stomach irritation such as acute gastritis. However, persistent vomiting also occurs with life-threatening disease such as acute pancreatitis, gastric outflow obstruction, intestinal obstruction and peritonitis. Persistent retching without bringing up any vomitus is typical of bloat. Repeated vomiting along with diarrhea suggests acute infectious enteritis. |
