| Seasonal Allergies? I've read a few posts and none seem to feel like they're expressing what I'm talking about, but, here's my situation. A few days ago, since its been warm, Peeka has started sneezing. Just sneezing like normal. Then all of a sudden, he started doing this thing where, when he gets excited, he has to stop and starts sounding like he's trying to get something out of his throat. He even moves his head up and down like he's about to throw up, but w/o any gagging. Afterwards, it just stops and he walks away. It doesn't sound like when he had kennel cough, when he would hack and then sneeze and it doesn't sound like honking. Oddly, he sounds exactly like Puss in Boots in the movie "Shrek" when he was trying to get up the hairball. Its just weird, but he's not sick in any other way. Everything else is normal. |

| yeah that does sound like reverse sneezing. Spyro does it alot, when he first did it i freaked out looking in his mouth to see if something was lodged in there. He looked at me like i was crazy..lol. It does seem to happen when he is running around and "talking " to his brother and sisters.

| Reverse Sneeze All my pups have this right now. Runny noses and sneezing from allergies. They do the reverse sneeze and when you get 2 or 3 doing this at once, it's hard cause you want to cuddle them and help them thru it. I give Benedril and wipe them off when they come in from outside. Helps.

| Can any of you that have dogs with this reverse sneezing, post a video of it? On another post, we've been trying to find someone to post it, so we could see the difference between this and Collapsed Trachea. It would be so helpful and also educational for all yorkie owners. Anybody...Please and Thank You!!!

| yes a video would be great. Rocco and I didnt get much sleep last night because he was whining and sneezing all night, then we both finally went to sleep at 2am. this morning when i went to check on him it looked as if he hacked up some mucus and it looked like it had blood in it. also, ever since the sneezing started he's been missing the pee pads. could this be allergies as well, it started when we came back from our evening walk. nonetheless, i'm calling the vet to be sure. i felt so bad leaving him this morning.
