On My way to ER VET/ Pray for Mickey/ PLEASE
 

Im on my way out the door now, What a long night My little boy has had. And it makes me mad that The vet had not ran test and or xrays on him when I last took him to the vet for almost the same problems.

Yesterday morning when I got up I noticed on Mickeys peepad two spots of pee, and a smaller dark spot in the middle, witch Im guessing might of been blood. well I took him out to pee yesterday and each time I took him out he stood for ever. being it was in the grass, I didnt know if he finally peed or not. but I noticed his peepee being wet each time. so I decided not to take him out any more , so I could keep checking his pee on the pad. well nothing. But he did pee one time on my carpet. That told me tright there some thing was wrong. late last night he started throwing up and standing in front of me with his leg up like he was trying to potty. He did this last time and I really think he was trying to show me . Look mommy no pee. well after that he got so much worse and was slowly walking around and crying. he would look at me in my eyes and just cry, I tried to check his peepee out , to see if maybe hair was in it or maybe blood, I didnt see any thing. I called the vets they was closed. but they told me before that they have someone there 24/7. I kept trying.. Thats the only ER vet I know of in my area. I treid calling a few more vets , and had no answers any where. Im susppose to be at the bank this morning to pay off the Durango, and I cant . Mickeys in so much pain and me and him has had no sleep. My poor baby boy. Please pray for him.He keeps staring in my face , Like Please momma help me, and its tearing me up bad. Im mad at my self and Im mad at my vet. I should of made him do those xrays last time, instead I let him tell me he didnt need xrays that it was gas and tummy upset. The pills he put him and Minnie on did seem to make them better. until now. My neighbors dog died from stones. They had them removed and then they came back and that dog is doing the same thing Mickey is right now. If he dies Ill never forgive my self or my vet.

I'm praying all will be ok and the doctor will have the know how to treat your baby!

Poor baby ...he was crying in Pain ? I'd be crying too :( ....When you said this started yesterday morning - was he ok for the rest of the day ?? Was he eating and drinking ?

Oh no, poor little Mickey...Don't feel bad, though! You were just following your vets instructions. It really does sound like stones to me...This is exactly what happened to Miko when I first found out that he had them. I'll be praying for you and Mickey!!! Please update us when you get back from the vets...

Oh that poor baby! One of my previous yorkies had the same symptoms you describe, and it was stones. After he was treated he was fine, and it never happened again.

Thanks everyone, We just got back, I had to wait on him to wake up from being sedated. They took 4 xrays. No big stones but lots and lots of Crystals, Blocking his urine. They put in cathider to empty his urinary bladder. Then, they examined crystals and filled him back up with water to push back the blockage of Crystals. They put him on antibiotis and S/D prescription diet food to help with dissolving the Crystals, and I am to keep a close eye on him to see if he pees, So far he still cant. and he will not touch that S/D food. He said if they have to do it again and if they dont clear he will have to have surgery. Please keep my baby in your prayers.

Poor Minnie was so happy to see him come back home. shes kissing him so much.

He acted fine eating and playing yesterday, but just seemed like we was having a hard time peeing just like he did a few weeks ago when I took him in .and he was throwing up in between. Last night early morning is when he started acting like he was in pain and I kept calling the ER noone would answer. They told me this time if I need them to leave a message and they will answer my call asap. This is the second trip to the ER and I was lucky to have a credit card. If it wasent for that card, I wouldnt know what to do.

OMG! Poor Mickey!:( :( :( I'll be keeping him in my prayers!

poor mickey! i'm so sorry he has urinary crystals. if he doesn't like the S/D ask about other foods. I know royal canin makes one called SO but i do not know if its for the same crystals mickey has. And there might be another one but i forgot its name. Poor baby

Poor baby, I hope he's alright. Please keep us posted, healing thoughts and wishes are being sent your way. I hope the new diet takes care of the problem -- maybe adding water to soften it up might make it more tantilizing? also I've used chicken broth on dry food to make it more tasty (of course check with the vet first).
