Milo is very sick--please--need YT magic I just got back from leaving him at the vets. He was fine this AM and about a half hour ago he started throwing up---the first three times it was like and smelled like poop. Then it became just gobs of mucus. 7-8 times in about 20 minutes. I can't belive all this stuff came out of this little pup. I ran him in and they are going to give him fluids, do an abdominal x-ray and comprehensive blood work to rule out parvo etc.. I can not stop crying-- my heart hurts so much, I can NOT lose him... please pray or whatever you believe in. thanks so much in advance...Dawn |
Dawn......sending prayers your way. Hopefully it's just a bug or something...nothing serious. I know it's scarey when they get sick, and we don't know what's going on. Keep a positive attitude and keep us posted. Debbie |

Dawn, Try to stay calm, you brought him to the Vet ASAP and I am sure they are taking really good care of him. I remember when TJ was sick when he was little. It started when he was just over 4 months old. He would poop mucus only. To make a long story short...after a few months, he also started to vomitt, and yes it smelled like poop, had blood and mucus in it. The reason why the vomitt was like that was b/c he was sick with IBD and he also was (and still is) a poop eater. So the vomitt included yucky poop :eek: Please keep us updated! Thanks everyone. Waiting is something I have never done well. I have not cried like this since back in Dec when The Boy Wonder moved out. As we were heading to the vet, the mail women was delivering and there was my new personalised blanket from Go-Fetch----I ripped it open and wrapped him in it and it's with him at the vets. When I got back, there was his order from Pure Canine, Go-Fetch Jammies, a hoodie "Royalty", a gecko and a nubby ball. They are sitting on the table in front of me waiting for him along with his collar with his name and skull charm. I have cleaned this house to within an inch of it's life--------I had already cleaned this morning........ Good thing there's no alcohol here-------not that it would help one bit.:( |
OH Dawn, am just now reading this . . . .I am guessing it could just be a bug and they will soon find out what it was. I am sure you have every confidence in your vet and I know MILO will overcome this. But I know how you feel about being so helpless and the waiting must be so horrible not knowing what the outcome might be. I will pray so you may find the strenght to hang it there while they figure out what is wrong with little MILO. Please, please keep us posted. |

Aww, poor Milo. I hope he's feeling better. Jack threw up something like that recently, but I assumed it was related to some hernia problems he was having. He's been fine ever since. |
Awww, I hope it is nothing. This is so scary always. I know last night my Biewer started making a yaking noise, nothing came out but still, its frightening to say the least..Prayers being sent up for your baby..keep us updated... Kathy |
Both Cali and Pixie have had bouts with something very similar. The vets were able to fix them up pretty quick. |

it was about 300 when she went back to the vets.... i hope everything is ok it's been about 3 hours now.....i am getting a little worried. please let everything be ok |

Hi all___ Wow--I am fried----mind, body and soul. Milo is here on my lap as I write this. Ab x-ray was clear. They have sent out to test for Parvo, pancreatitus (sp?), and all sorts. His anal glands are infected--he showed no signs or symptoms.:confused: They gave him a shot of antibiotics, a shot for vomiting and a shot for the diarea. :( They also injected a bunch of fluids under his skin---he looks so bloated and mis-shaped but it's for the good. I have two liquid meds and one pill med that I'll be giving him as well as Hills ID----for as long as they tell me. He is wrspped up in his new go-fetch blankie and wearing his new jammies (although he's feeling well enough to give me looks about the jammies:rolleyes: ) We will both sleep hard tonight! I want to thank everyone for all their thoughts and kind words--(I was so scared and still concerned)-please keep them coming that all the tests come back negative and this was justy some fluke. We took pics of Milo in his blankie and I'll post them in the AM. Again--thank you everyone! |

3 Attachment(s) I awoke to a million puppy kisses this morning and a Milo that was mush more himself. We are still awaiting the test results--all paws crossed---till we can breathe easy and relax fully. Here are pics from last night--so sad looking.:( Hi Kim!--I left you a VM back yesterday afternoon--sorry for the incoherence,:rolleyes: , I was so wiped. Feel free to call us today or this weekend to check in with me, we won\'t mind a bit. Not a lot going on--we were supposed t head to the NH house, but that\'s been nixed. |
