| I'm worried about Jewelina She just vomitted twice about 20 minutes ago, not really anthing solid like food just yellow liquid... I don't have a clue what the problem could be! She didn't seem really hungry this morning and had maybe 10 pieces of kibble but some mornings she is like that. She normally eats more in the afternoons though and she hasn't so far today. I even tried making her Luna'sMommy's formula recipe and she wouldn't touch it! She is so small to start off with and I've never had any problems with her at all I just don't know what this could be. I watch her like a hawk so I know she hasn't gotten into anything and she is on Canidae so it's not because of the food recall. I am so worried about her, I made an appt. at the vets office but they are packged full today and I can't get in for another hour Please keep Jewelina in your prayers, she is such a fragile thing, I just don't want anything to happen to her.... |

| Oh heavens Joy! Glad your going to the vet's today. Better safe than sorry. Perhaps she ate something you are not aware of or maybe just a tummy thing. There seem to be so many YT'ers babies with tummy upsets lately. Prayer's coming for her. |

| Thank you Carol! Lately, it seems like it's just one thing after the next! I just gave her a bath earlier, I was going to take some pictures to post on here and right after her bath she puked once, and then about 10 minutes later she puked again. She's so tiny it takes about everything out of her when she vomits and I tried to get her to drink some water and eat something and she won't. I'm not going to force her to do anything so we're going to the vet but it's really concerning me that she won't eat! Thank you for the prayers Carol, I appreciate them! Joy |

| Oh my goodness! She is so tiny...Yes, please let us know what the vet says. It's very scary when they vomit or have diarrhea anyway, but especially when they're that little.

| Is it possible that she swallowed some shampoo since she started vomiting after you gave her a bath? Was she coughing at all before? What does her stool look like? Look at her gums. Are they pink or any other dark color? If her gums are not pink, it can be a sign of something more serious than swallowing shampoo. Pinch her skin on the back. If it comes right back, she is hydrated, if the skin stays raised from the bones, she needs to be given liquids soon. |

| Poor baby! My girls will throw up that yellow slimy bile if they don't eat in the mornings. They get the tummy growls and then they think they are really sick and thus wouldn't eat or drink. I used to give them a little bit of pepto bismal and that would fix it but that is so nasty tasting. Now i just take a dollop of peanut butter (no nuts) and put under the roof of their mouth. This will get them to licking like crazy and get the hunger juices flowing. They will then be hungry and eat something and viola! Their problems are over. Now, i give them 1/2 of a vienna sausage (chicken) in the morning just to get something in their stomachs. They haven't had the morning bile episodes in a long time. I hope that is all that is wrong with Jewelina! She is just too precious!! Please keep us posted! ....Linda |

| We've been back from the vet for a while now, I haven't had a moment to post on here....Jewelina has lost 4 ounces since her last vet checkup, which is huge for us. She only gains "half-ounces" at a time and we work so hard to gain each one. Now she is only 1 pound 7 ounces When we got to the vet she was shaking a little bit and her blood sugar was low. I had some nutrical with me and as soon as we got in, Dr. Murray gave her some and she took it from him which was a good sign. She got a full check up and wasn't dehydrated, her stool check tested fine, the fact that she wasn't interested in eating and seemed tired did bother my vet though. He said the syptoms reminded him a lot of what Jaden had and he thinks that perhaps whatever bug he did have he may have passed on to her. He said quite a few dogs have been coming in lately with very similar symptons and he wonders if it isn't something going around our area. He prescribed a 1/3 dosage of the same antibiotic Jaden took. It cleared him up so we're hoping it'll do the same for her. I'm supposed to take her off of her regular kibble for now and just feed her boiled rice with a little bit of boiled chicken, anything bland to keep her tummy from feeling bad. I'm going to be offering her food once ever 2 1/2 hours, so I'm going to be up most of tonight. He said if she'll eat anything, even just a few bites, it's a good sign, and as long as I keep offering it to her she should eat. If she doesn't eat I have the nutrical on hand and I am giving her a tiny syringe of gatorade once every 30 minutes. When we got home I gave her an ice cube to lick on and she licked on it for a while. I think it made her feel a little bit better. She's had a few bites of rice for dinner and had her first dosage of the antibiotic. She is sleeping on my lap right now and I am hoping the medicine will start to kick in soon. Please keep her in your prayers! |

| Yes, she scares me to death when the slightest thing is wrong with her. Not just because of her weight but if you could see her in real life, she's just very fine boned and petite. I can still easily hold her with just one hand. She's never had ANY health problems before and really is a strong little girl. We got some medicine from the vet and I am hoping it will start working soon! |

She wasn't coughing at all before but did seem a little groggy and uninterested in her food. I just figured she was having a lazy day like she does sometimes. Her gums were and still are pink and I pinkced the back of her skin and it pops right back. She's on antibiotics now so I am hoping she will be all well soon! | |
