That's great. Cali also had coccidia and kennel cough when I got her and the vet said it all lowered her tolerance to fight off anything and could have contributed to her hypoglycemia. I am praying for good test results and for Sophie to continue to improve. The one food I found that CAli would eat was Cesars and even though it is not a good quality food it was at least food. |
That is so strange that is how Diva was too just like a new puppy one I hadn't seen before. I also fed her little ceasers, mixed with rice baby cereal and some yogurt. Our prayers and thought are still with you and Sophie. |
So glad that Sophie is doing better today. we will continue to pray for her!! HUGS!! XOXOXO ...Linda |
That's great to hear Sophie is doing so much better. We're still sending good thoughts and prayers until we're sure she's completely out of the woods. :) |

I'm praying that the bile acid tests come back within normal range. |
You have no idea how happy I am to hear about Sophie. I have logged in almost constantly just to check and see if there were any updates. I was so worried when I hadn't heard from you.... BIG HUGS to you and to Sophie also! Maybe, just maybe, you have it beat, and you will have the best, healthiest puppy ever! :D :D |
Hugs from Riley to Sophie Hi - When we got Riley on Christmas Eve, we went through very similar experiences. It was so scary... so I can definitely sympathize with you. We just had to keep on top of the situation with Nutri-Stat and force-feeding. One thing I want to be careful about: on those days she seems particularly playful, still make sure you are giving the Nutri-Stat and force-feeding if she isn't eating enough. When she's playful, she uses a lot of energy and can easily end up in another hypoglycemic episdoe. We went through this with Riley. It took about 6 weeks or so before Riley was eating as much as she should. She hasn't had a hypo episode since the third. Miss Sophie is just a little baby as well and needs your special care. I'm so glad to hear she is doing better and that you and your husband are willing to do what it takes to care for her. Keep us posted on her progress!! |
I want to Thank everyone for the kind words, suggestions and most of all support. YT is a wonderful family to be part of and Sophie appreciates all of her "adopted aunts" for caring so much for her., Sophie |
misspenny I wish you continued success with Riley. What a cutie she is. Take care |
Love those happy endings! :D HUGS! XOXOXO ...Linda |
Miss Sophie This is Sophie's Aunt and just wanted to drop in and say that my little Miss Sophie is doing SOOO much better. She is such an angel! Cutest little thing in the world. :D I went with my sister to pick her out and we fell in love with her. I hated to see my sister and Sophie going through all this. Nothing but love for that little cutie pie. Poor Rusty (Sophie's "friend/brother") could tell something was wrong with my sister when they put Sophie in the hospital and he kept trying to "hold her". It was SOOOO SWEET. Anyways ... both of the babies are doing good and getting lots of love. |
Welcome to YT, and thanks for the update. :) |

HUGS! OXOXO ...Linda |
poor lill sophie... i know just what your going through, our 'lola' had the same problem although she was having seizures too. We were sick with worrie:confused: and unsure if she'd ever get better.....but she is 6months old now and all her problems stopped as she reached 4months! Just keep doing what your doing and keep all kinds of new things that can cause 'stress' to sophie untill she has passed 4months. One time when lola was about 3months we had to stay with family for a night, we kept lola here with my brother, who she knew very well, but just the stress of us not being here set her off and she went through two seizures that night! We even had to keep lola in and held off her 1st injections until she was 4months! She is a normal happy and healthy pup now, enjoying all kinds of new things! We wish sophie all the best!:aimeeyork |
