I am so sorry to hear about your little Kiwi. It is so hard when they are little. I do think the humidifyer helps. I put Hector in the bathroom with it. It is a small closed space and it helps him to breathe and clear his lungs. I am in Colorado though where we have no humidity and have to make our own.

Please let me know how Kiwi is doing. I would just watch like a hawk. Eating good and activity level are great signs. The vet told me there is a bacterial component which the clavamox is for, but there is also a viral component which their immune systems have to fight on there own.

Thanks so much for the support! I have just fallen in love with him and he has been sick like this for a month. It has been hard on my nerves. We will just be patient though and keep a close eye on him and hopefully this will clear up soon. Thanks again and take care.

Sorry it has taken me awhile to reply. I am so happy Hector doesnt have pneumonia. Princess was very lethargic and just did not look happy. Her gums were gray and she would hardly eat and would throw up. It is a good thing Hector is coughing up stuff. I know it sounds bad but it means things are breaking up in his lungs. thats a GREAT sign! In answer to your other question, Princess got her lungs tapped with a big needle probably about 1 week after she was released from the hospital for the first time. When she started coughing again we had to take her back and then they did the whole tapping thing. You are still in our prayers!!

BRPrincess, thanks so much for all the info. It makes me feel at ease to hear that what Hector is doing is a good thing! I really appreciate your taking the time to post that info. I m sorry you had to go through all of that with your little baby. I am hoping she is safe and healthy today and you are enjoying every minute with her. Thanks again and take care.

SAME GOES FOR ME !! I check in here every morning to see how the sick little ones are doing and am glad to read GOOD news !!
