when she threw up after you gave her the meds both times were the pills in the puke? how long after you gave her the meds did she throw up? i was just concerned because you said she had really bad diarrhea but then you just took her out and barely anything came out. If she didn't throw up the meds and you gave her more you could be binding her up a bit too much. don't want to have to worry about doing a total 180 on her |

She actually woke me up in the middle of the night once to let me know she had gotten sick and wanted me to bathe her. She doesn't like to be dirty. |
I am soo sorry your baby is sick, I hope she feels better soon, Grayson was vomiting last night and had the runs also. I felt so helpless. He seems somewhat better today and his vet said not to eat for 24 hours. So hopefully when dinner time hits he will be ready to scarf down some dinner! |

Grayson's mom.. i'm also nervous tonight when i give her supper that she won't be interested... i thought she would have LOVED the chicken broth.. but no.. even tried giving her a bland treat (wafer like) she didn't want it... i hope she eats!!! good luck with your guy! hope this is over fast for the both of us! |
i was also concerned that she is so tired. i'm sure it makes sense since we sure didn't sleep last night and she is feeling pretty crappy. i felt better when we went outside and she started barking and running at our neighbour.. i guess she isn't too weak or tired :) still has some spunk! |
well i tried to see if layla wanted any of the soft food the vet told me to feed her... nope... licked it and turned her head... which is werid for layla she LOVES wet food... i'm not giving her the meds if she doens't have food in her tummy... help please!! |
has she pooped lately? |
Oh poor Layla, I'm just seeing this! I'm so sorry :( When Simon would go through his bouts of diarhhea/throwing up I would literally force water in his mouth with a dropper. It wasn\'t fun or easy but I would cuddle with him and open his mouth with my hand and quickly squirt the water in his mouth. Try mixing some of the chicken broth with the soft food and feeding her off of a spoon. Big hugs to both of you, I know how tired and upset you must be. |
she has not pooped in a long while... but she has nothing in her :( she had a bunch of water and that came up... but when i put Pedalyte in her.. it stays.. with an eyedropper... kim you are right.. it\'s very very tough... she is uninterested in eating.. except she ate a treat.. .go figure... so i\'m going to try and give her some food like kim suggested... and then give her her meds regardless...if she gets sick at least i can say i tried when i call the vet again in the morning... i feel so horrible... i wish she was better.. but i hope the lack of vomiting and diarrhea is a good sign... but the no eating... i dunno... |
is the food that the vet gave you I/D? if so that\'s basically the same thing as chicken and rice. try making her that. she ate a treat because she is hungry but shes holding out LOL she\'s milking ya. try the chicken and rice. it will be bland on her stomach. only give her a few pieces of chicken. or you can try hamburger meat, but make sure you get all the fat out of it. |
