Grayson is sick I got the call from my son at work yesterday, I had just left home and he said Grayson had vomited 2 times. Then he called back about an hour later said he did it again. I called the vet and was told to give him 1/2 tsp pepto for what his weight was not to feed him for 24 hours and then give him white rice and boiled chicken if he isn't better to bring him in on friday. Well poor baby got sick 2 more times last night and also had the runs. I had to give him a bath, and we were up really late. The last time he vomited he just layed in it. He did fine through the night and actually drank a little this morning but I can he still dosn't feel good he is very mopey. All advice would be great, I think I will give him a little kayro to be safe that way. THis is the first time any of my animals have been this sick! |
Ohhh I'm soo sorry. I hope Grayson gets better soon!. I would say that if he still looks weak and he keeps vomiting today, you should take him to the vet so he can get some medicines. Make sure he drinks water. |
Poor baby:( I hope that he feels better really fast. It's so scary when these little ones are sick. If he's not better today, I'd for sure get him to the vet before they close for the night. Hugs!!! |
I gave him a little Kayro a bit ago he didn't like it one bit. He hasn't vomited today but he moves slow and for sure isn't his self. My kids will be here with him as they have called school off we are supp to get snow but havn't seen any YET!! My teen will keep a eye on him and keep me posted and YES of course I will rush him to vet if necessary Grayson is MY baby and I am so worried he can't tell me what's wrong but you can see it in his eyes! |
Oh, I'm so sorry Grayson isn't feeling well. Hopefully his tummy will calm down today and after some rest he will start feeling more like himself:) |
I am sorry he is sick...Hannah was sick yesterday vomited twice, but she is better today...she is still a little tired though. |

awwwww....it could be nothing serious - Chanel did that a few months ago - they found hardly anything wrong after 2 different vet visits and was A-OK in a few days - problem was it went from one end to the other :eek: and my little water crazed yorkie was actually sick of butt-baths that week - VERY Unusual for her lol - Sending Grayson GET WELL WISHES !!! Keep going with the chicken - that's what my vet said too |

He is now more like himself and we will try the chicken and rice in a little bit. I was worried to death! I didn't realize I could worry with my boy as much as I do with my skin kids!! My cats have never been sick like this and last night for the first time ever they layed with him. They really do like him!!! |

Grayson is going to the vet at 10:15 my time so please say prayers he still has the runs and the vet wants to see him, which I think is GREAT! I hope it's nothing major, Grayson sure does worry me! Poor little guy! |
Sure hope he feels better soon. The vet will probably give him sub-q fluids and that perks them right up. |

Well they don't know why he got sick, but he had a fever, and he is on anti nausa meds now and on antibotics(Metronidazole). I am to put him on a strict diet of boiled chicken and rice so I am off to the grocery store to stock up so I can cook for him! They said NO TREATS for now!!! If he isn't better by monday we have to go back in. My poor little baby is just so pityful looking! |

Poor Grayson, this sounds so much like what I went through with Gracie back in early November. She started vomiting about 5:30 am and vomited 8 or 10 times by 7:30. I called in sick to work and carried her to the vet. They kept her all day and gave her meds and fluids by IV and I was able to pick her up just before they closed at 6 pm. The vet said that it was acute pancreatitis and that she should not have any food or drink for the rest of the night. They pumped her full of fluid just before I picked her up. Next morning I was to feed her Purina EN (a prescription diet) 1 Tblspn every 2 hours and give her meds as prescribed. She had antibiotics, acid meds and nausea meds. I stayed out of work with her for three days. She refused to eat the EN after the first day so I did the boiled chicken and rice thing which she ate. I am really careful now not to give her treats and keep her on a very low fat diet. Our vet and all the info that I have read says that once a dog has had pancreatitis it is easier for it to happen again if diet is not controlled. Anyway, I hope this is not what Grayson had and he is all better soon. |
