Ralphie is very ill..
 
I have not really posted in awhile.. Ralphie is very ill. Has blood in his stool, and has been tested for everything. On Tuesday he goes to the specialist hospital for an endoscopy, and I hope they find out whats wrong. I have not slept in several weeks.

Ralphie has lot alot of weight.. he has been hydrated 5 times in 2 weeks.

Thanks for any thoughts and prayers..

I am really sorry Ralphie is sick. I will be praying for him and hopefully you will get some answers on Tuesday

Oh gosh:( I'm sorry to hear that!

He's not eating at all? Is there any way he could have swallowed something and it's blocking or irritating his intestines, causing blood?

I'm so sorry Ralphie is so sick, hopefully you will get some answers soon! Take care of yourself, sounds like Ralphie is gonna need his mommy to help him get all better. Sending big hugs your way and the best of well wishes for Ralphie and his hopefully speedy recovery!!

Good luck Ralphie with your test on Tuesday. I hope they find out what is wrong and you can get better and live a happy healthy life like you deserve to live. Get well sweet baby.

Ralphie has no obstructions that show up--xray and ultrasound.done. I suspect IBS or something ike that.. all the tests are getting copied today to get to the specialist on Tuesday.

This has been very hard on him and my husband and AI.

He seems ok for a few days, then pain in the stomach, crying..and very bad poops.. If he is not pooping he seems ok..but is losing weight.

Hei s now on on IVD Venison and Potatoe..

This all started at the beginning of Jan 2007. Although he has had bouts of diareah, they always resolved with flagyl. This has been something else.

He has lost about 6-8 ounces from his body--and he should be 4.8 or maybe a little bigger.

Poor baby! I do hope they will soon find the cause of this and get it cleared up. Toto only had something similar once in her life .... "an inflammation in her intestine" and it cleared up in no time with Flagyl and it never reoccurred. We will certainly keep little Ralphie in our prayers!

Oh wow, that sounds rough. I hope they find out soon whats causing this. I can imagine your worried sick.

after reading your first post i was thinking Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) too. Has he done any better on the venison and potatoe diet? usually that helps IBD patients. Also, with the diarrhea is there like a gooey substance that comes out with the poo? Maybe he has colitis ?

have they checked for Giardia??? b/c it sounds as if that was what they were treating him for (Flagyl).

I'm so sorry that Ralphie is not feeling well. I hope they find out what is wrong with him really soon!! Keep us updated. In the meantime, lots of good thought going out to you and Ralphie.

Poor little Ralphie I will pray that he will have a quick recovery. It is so very hard when they are sick!

I send lots of prayers and love your way. Hopefully they will find out what's wrong with Ralphie and be able to treat him and bring him right back 100 percent. It's amazing how much they mean to us.....I speak from experience, because I had a scare this morning with my Sparky. But his wasn't as serious as Ralphie. Keep us posted and remember you are not in this alone....you have all the love and prayers from your friends here.

i just found this thread and wanted to say i am soo sorry and i will keep ralphie in my prayers. i pray the doctors can figure out what is wrong with your poor baby!!! i am sooo sorry....
