Just found you post. Hope your Chuey gets stronger every day. Be sure to take care of yourself also. |
Hi Raquel, Hope Chuey is doing well today. I had the day off and spent it with my little Yorkies. Keep us posted as to how he is doing. Gail:aimeeyork :) |
Hello everybody. Unfortunately, I have some bad news. Chuey was readmitted to the hospital today. Dr says it may be something worse than pneumonia, like a possible virus. Chuey had a fever again today. Chuey's lungs are improving, but very, very, slowly. Dr wanted to see better progress by now. Chuey is breathing much better though. Chuey is so weak he can't even get up to use the bathroom very much anymore. He peed on me a couple of times and several times on his blankets and box. I just don't know what to do anymore. I am so stressed out and really wish I could get him some answers and help. I guess what I am doing is helping him but not without causing grief at home (over money) and pain in my heart. I keep asking myself what I could've done different. Who was that girl I got him from? And what if he was sick when I got him? Did I save him from dying an earlier death from being with somebody who did not know how to take care of him. You should've seen him when he came home with me on the first day. He was just a regular puppy ready to explore the world. Granted he was a little dirty and scaly (fungus/yeast on his scalp), but I had to have him anyway. Well, if anybody knows any information on what kind of possible virus or illness can cause this, please let me know. Chuey is going to be on antibiotics via IV, (enrofloxacin), and other fluids. He seemed so sad when I left him. But he held his little head up when he say me starting to cry. I just don't know what I am going to do. Thank you for reading my post and offering us any help. Chuey says thank you for your prayers as well. Good night, Raquel  :( |
Raquel, I am keeping you and Chuey in my prayers and sending hugs :ghug:. Hope the morning brings good news ..... I am so very sorry that your little one is so desperately ill -- it just makes you feel so helpless. Sounds like you are being the perfect Yorkie Mom and doing all you can to help your little guy. |
Hello everybody! First of all, thank you so much for all your prayers and best wishes. I really think they are paying off. ;) Chuey seems to be doing a little better! I am trying to control my excitement. I was crying a little while ago because I thought to myself, if for some horrible reason he didn't make it, just to see him a little better tonight was worth every penny and every sleepless night! I am so serious, seeing him better really touched my heart, because I believe he was touched by God. He's my little one pound 10 oz miracle! Please keep your prayers coming because they are working! Dr has Chu on two diff antibiotics, and prednisone. He also had the immune booster while he was in the hospital. Dr ran extensive blood work and all is normal so far, (white blood cell count and everything). He also ran an adrenal gland test for Addison's sp? disease. If Chu doesn't get better from the meds from fighting pneumonia, then there could be something congenital wrong with him, i.e. neurological disorder or something. I really hope not and don't think so because Chu was absolutely fine before he got ill, but we'll see. As I begged before, please keep him in your prayers because he is getting better. Praise God. I know that from this experience I have so much more faith in many things. I see things from a different prespective. Cherishing my family (especially my husband), cherishing Gods creatures, and being thankful for coming up with the financial means to help Chu. I'm in debt up the yingyang, but hey, no Starbucks for the rest of my life should pay it off! :) Thank you again for all your continued support and I'll keep you posted! |
