I have a yorkie named Fletcher too (and another named Dexter)... Fletcher is my jumper, he jumps about 3.5 feet from the back of the couch all the time!! I tried to get him to stop, knowing how fragile their little bones can be, but he won't stop. One time he did it and must have landed funny or wrong and he yelped and then cried hard for about 5 mins, it was REALLY scarey and I had to put him down to see if he could walk on the leg. Well I think he scared himself more than hurt himself... he was fine! He immediately started walking on the leg and jumping around again so I was lucky! I try to teach him to jump off the front of the couch where its much lower, maybe a foot high at most bc I don't have carpeting to cushion the fall... but he won't! I hope that I don't have to go through that with my fletch! I hope your baby is doing much better now!! |
Just wondering how little Fletcher was doing?? |
Lacy's progress I'm not really sure how I got this, but anyway, our little girl's name is Lacy and yes she has a broken radius and ulna. She is now in her 8th post surgical week. She has 4 pins through her leg attached to a rod. She sees the vet every week and has been doing quite well. It gets more difficult each week to keep her relatively quiet. She and Caesar really want to play and this week we have let them bat at eachother a little as long as she is not running and wrestling with him. Vet x-rayed her a couple of weeks ago but said her bones are so small that it is difficult to really see what is going on because of the apparatus. He thinks she is doing well and says they may remove 2 of the pins at 10 weeks. However, he also said it isn't unusual to leave them in for 12 weeks so we will just have to wait and see. Sincerely hope that all the other little ones with broken bones are healing well and will soon be well. |
WOW poor guy! I'm scared now. Allie is a no fear kinda gal. |
