PLEASE ANY BODY DID YOU THINK HE CAN DO BETTER AT HOME IN A CAGE and Also I have a diva in the house who will not leave him alone, her name is Paris. norma |
I'm so sorry to her about your baby. He might stay calmer when he is at the hospital. At home he might get too excited. they probalby keep him sedated a little to keep him from moving around too much. I hope he heals quickly. |
Hello Norma, and WELCOME to YT! I'm so very sorry for this tragedy, and the pain your furbaby has endured because of people not taking time with him!! gggrrrrrrrr....!! I can't imagine that x-rays did not reveal the break!? Did you tell the two vets that she fell from your arms onto the concrete? IF you do bring her home, I would definitely keep her separate from Paris until she's well healed. On A Side Note: It's not a good idea to give one's complete address on ANY site online. You might want to edit that, and just reference your state :). |
thanks   thank you so much for everithing and yes I did tell the Drs abouth the fall. God is so hard to be with out him, and the x yas show very little becouse is broke more inside the hip bone not to easy to read for a regular Dr, thats why they missit also he have a spurt from being on his leg for 3 weeks.So.. you think I can do this at home, is not the money I alredy pay for I dont care if they dont refund me I cant consive he is alone at nite and all day in that cage. I spind 1 hour with him today I almost left with him......and tomorrow I will be again another hour, thats all they letme do. I ask them if I can be a volunteir 3 times a week to do anything so I can be with him and they say no. ok. thanks to everybody how can I put a picture of my nenes ? in the forum norma |
This is a hard decision. I really don't know what they are doing for him there that you can't do at home, but I am unfamiliar with the treatment he is receiving. I agree with you though that he will be happier at home, if you have a cage to put him in and you can put him in a room by himself and maybe cover it to keep it darker so he is more calm. |
So sorry to hear about your pup...it's hard to see these little ones in pain. 6-8 weeks is a very long time for him to be at the vet. I don't think I could stand to leave mine there for that long! I hope you can bring him home! Seems like he'd heal faster being in his normal surroundings and having you with him. Good luck to you! Keep us updated! |
I'm so sorry for all of this:( I'd get another opinion on this. There's no reason why he should be staying at the vets for that long, it seems ridiculous! Good luck and keep us posted. |
that baby needs to be at home! I agree, get a second opnion... |
HI and welcome to YT My god 6-8 weeks at a vet? HUH I had a dog that broke pelvis (non yorkie) she stayed home and we just kept her calm. I did sleep on the floor with he for a while though. I will Pray for your lil one. |
Im so mad right now, I when to the hospital and nobody is there is dark an my baby is there,[its 11.30 pm] I go every day for a hour, but today I was so bussy and did not make it, and now I cant sleep thinking, how miserable Puppy Hilton most feel, I call the emergency number and they tell me to call tomorrow, so I when back to the hospital and left a note at the door saying I want my baby to go home with me tomorrow, is no way I will leave him alone sick, they are crazy the place was close and dark. a hospital share be open 24 hours, and they close today at 4pm. if they dont call me before 8 am Im calling the dr. house because those babies in there not be alone that long. I need to sedate my self to sleep so I can rest. [one tylenol pm does the job] thanks everybody.     :loll tears :lol tears :lol tears :lol tears |
:hearts-xx |
A lot of vets that insist on leaving them overnight have no care on staff after closing. I always take mine home. I don't possibly see how a dog can be better unattended than at home. I've heard of dogs chewing through their ivs. |
Get a 2nd opinion :( Sorry to hear about your little one, I would seek a 2nd opinion, maybe call a few vets and ask questions. Are they charging you to keep him there, or was that included in the initial charge? My Kodak dislocated his hip when he was a yr. old. He refused to use the puppy stairs and jumped off the bed which is not that high. They think they are big dogs and will try anything. Good luck to you. |
:cheer: :cheer: :yay_jump: :yay_jump:   Hilton is home, He is so happy I call the emergency number last nite and they say there is no way Hilton will come home with me till monday, so I call the Dr and ask him to send somebody early sunday 5.30 am because I was going to pic up my baby anyway. and at 5.30 a woman call me and ask me to come get Him, We are so happy he was with me all day he is so worry his going back to that place.his not limping at all. Thanks everybody for helping me to decide what to do. I did the right thing.!!!!! I Will sleep good .:animal36 :animal36 HILTON IS HOME:animal36 HILTON IS HOME.
