| Losing Fur Hello, last night, i found out my dog has lose quit a lot of hair on the back around the tail. And there is a large red spot on his skin. I already make an appointment with the vet for this evening. Meanwhile what should i do? And does anyone has any clue on whats going on with my little boy? |

| Have your vet do a skin scrape and check for mites (mange). When my male lost hair and had open wounds from where he had bit and scratched thats what it was. At first the vet thought it was allergies.

Donating YT 30K Club Member | My pom has had alot of those in the past 9 months. I just had her treated for 7-8 large redspots where the hair comes right out. The vet said hers were bacterial infections and they put her on antibiotics orally and they cleared up. But they seem to come back in a couple of months. The vet is not sure why she is getting them but said he wanted to hold off on further testing to see if they come back again. Maya is 9 1/2 years old. Hopefully meds will clear your baby up.
