for Remmy. He is having surgery tomorrow for bladder stones.

this is his second surgery in less than 6months. He was totally blocked and was not able to urinate today. Rushed him to the vet. They are keeping him overnight and putting in a catheter so he can urinate.

What kind of stones does he keep getting?
Has livershunt or MVD been ruled out?

His last surgery showed struvite stones. We won't know what kind of stones he has this time until they remove them and send them to a lab. What is MVD? Livershunt has not been considered.

Certain Stones can be a possible sign of livershunt but Im sitting here blank on which type of stones it is.
MVD is microvascular dysplasia (multiple shunts inside the liver, these types of shunts cannot be fixed by surgery, the right diet and meds help these dogs live normal lives)
I just emailed a few friends who have a ton of LS knowledge, I can give you more info on the stones once one of them get back to me. As soon as I hear (or shall I say read lol) something I will get back to you
