| Lilo was sting by a bee!!! my little poor girl, was in emergency today ,after bee sting her in her right front paw. I belive that she was playing with this bee at my work today, when I wasn't paying attention to her. then I saw her limping on her paw, and when I lifted her I saw a huge bee in her foot , I did took out the bee right away, but the sting was still stuck in there. I tried to take it out ,but she was totaly histerical about it, so I rushed her to the emergency vet. I'm glad that I did that, BC vet told me that she could die if she had allergic reaction to the sting( she could stop breathing ,and swell a lot) so they give her some benadryl, kept her for about an hour, and she was OK. Another thing that the vet told me is that you shouldnt remove the sting BC it might cause some complications, just live it alone so the poison can circulate the body and leave on it's own. I have to give her the benadryl for another 3 days. I'm just happy that she is doing great right now...playing, eating and acting totaly normal.

| Poor Lilo! That must have hurt so much. I'm glad she wasn't allergic to it and hope her little paw is feeling better.

| Stormie, our Aust. Shepherd, likes to play with bees also! She's been stung a few times but luckily she's not allergic to them! Glad your pup turned out just fine!
