My Tiny Treasures Donating Member | Revolution? Fleas? Okay this may sound dumb coming from someone owning dogs for 38 years but, what exactly is Revolution? I use heartgard on my dogs. Is this better? Can you ONLY get it from your Vet? Also.....my mama Chi goes out side and while I was feeding my baby cleft, I pulled TWO off of her! (Fleas) OMG! I freaked out! Zoey is still feeding the other pups so I don't know if I can treat her for fleas? And what about the 5 week old pups? Right now the only thing I'm using is a flea shampoo on the other dogs. I never thought I'd have a Flea problem!!! YUCK! Help? |

| You can only get Revolution with a prescription. I got mine from petmeds after my vet wrote one for me. I told my vet they offered a better deal. Revolution is good for flees, ticks, heartworm & earmites all in one. It comes in liquid and you place it between their shoulder blades. It varies on weight the amount you put on. I think 5 weeks is to young. I would go natural for the babies. Put lavender oil in their bedding. Slice up a lemon, score the skin to release more of the oil, pour a cup of boiling water over lemon, allow lemon to sit overnight. Use a sponge on puppies to kill fleas instantly. Condition afterward. Sweet smelling flea shampoo/ ingredients at health food store 1cup Castile soap (liquid) 1/8 oz of essential oil of pine 1/8oz of essential rose oil place all ingredients in a jar & shake to mix well add to their bath water. Kills fleas & keeps them off. Hope this helps. |

| I use Revolution and love it. It is a spot on heartworm, takes care of must worms except tape worms, ear mites and kills fleas. Your dog must be tested with negative results for current heart worm infestation before the vet will prescribe it. It costs between $10 and $15.00 per dog per month. |

Phantom Queen Morrigan Donating Member | i hear that some people love it and some people hate it. I guess it depends on where you live. if your not in a heavy flea area then i think its a great product. however, from what my vet said, the period of protectiveness for fleas and ticks is between 2-4 weeks even though it says 4+. if you have a lot of fleas and ticks in the area i wouldn't recommend it. i live in jersey and my cat was on it and did fine. i'm reluctant to put morgan on it just yet until i see what happens this season. maybe i'll try it out next season. it is a great product because it works for so many things, but it hasn't been totally proven to last th e4 weeks for flea and tick protections. on a side note, frontline plus has been known to work for 8 weeks instead of just four. when my cat was on that, i only gave it to him every other month.

| We live in Georgia where there is a huge flea problem. Of course the Yorkies stay inside most of the time, but we have never had a flea problem. |
