| Well yesterday we went in to have her checked since she didn't show any improvement over the weekend. The vet said she looked fine but ran a couple of xrays and found a fracture in the growth plate, he then sent me to an Orthopedic Surgeon to determine if surgery was neccessary. He said it would not heal without surgery because the muscle and tendons attached to the plate would constantly pull it away from the other bone and they would not be able to fuse on their own. I'm waiting on a call to let me know she came through it ok and is awake, probably won't be able to pick her up until close to 5:00. He told me she needs to be kept quiet for 6 to 8 weeks to heal. That's going to be next to impossible with Windsor and now the new puppy at home.... I'm going to have to start kenneling her, I know it's not a bad thing but she's not used to it, has always had free run of the house.

| I talked to the nurse and she's up and around, vet hasn't called yet though. I asked them to go ahead and pull her retained baby teeth, don't know if they were able to yet.

| Everything went fine with her surgery and she came home last night. (Brought her to work with me this morning) She has about a three inch insicion and a hundred million staples. They shaved her leg, belly and half way up her back. Poor baby, talk about a bad hair cut. Her staples will come out in two weeks and at three she'll start some physical therapy.

| So sorry it was broken, but it's good to know she'll be on her way to recovery. Did you know Jaspermom's Wosie had the same thing happen to her? You can do a search and see her pics because she was shaven the same way!
