| its awful Mitzi went for a second diagnosis on her heart today, and it is awful news. My poor baby has a degree 2 blockage on her heart! The vet did a E.C.G and we have sent the results off to a third specialist on the mainland. I will be travelling up to Guildford to a carinary (sp?) heart specialist, who is going to decide what to do. All 3 vets are puzzled as this condition is normally found in Labradors etc. Not once have they ever seen a toy breed with it. I have been given 2 options, the first is a pacemaker, however they are worried as she is so small and the pacemakers are biggish, so that will probablly be a no. The second is surgery where the vet will try to remove the blockages, it is a risky operation with a 50/50 success rate. Without surgery she will not live to be 3 yrs old. I jus cant believe it,im so sad right now, what on earth do i do? SOMEBODY PLEASE GIVE ME ADVISE! p.s she is allowed minimal exercise,no walks or playing with balls. |

| Oh No....I am so sorry to hear that. 50/50 chance is better than 0. Keep on the positive side. I am sure they will do everything in their power to help her live a full and happy life. I am saying a special prayer for her now.

| My heart and prayers go out to you and little Mitzi. The only thing you can do is listen to the advise of your doctors and follow what your heart tells you to do. These little one's can surprise you with their strength. Sometimes I think they are much stronger than we are.
