| Roxy = Bi-Lateral Luxating Patella Surgery 7/19/06 Hi everyone, I scheduled Roxy for survegy next Wednesday 7/19/06 for Luxating Patella. She has Grade 3 in both rear legs. She shows no pain, but I fear that if I leave it alone it will NOT benefit her quality of life. She will be at The Center for Specialized Veterinary Care in Westbury, NY. The Ortho Surgery Specialist is Dr. Laura Hinton and she was extremely caring and she is highly recommended. Roxy will have blood work that morning (they have a lab and will get results ASAP) and she will also have x-rays of her legs and chest because we she has Tracheal Collapse as well. The Dr. wants to see tracheal x-rays so they can proceed correctly with care and caution. I am pleased about that. The Doctor will have to shave her legs and up her 'rump' they will leave her tail hair though The Doctor said they have to shave all that b/c they have to give her an epidoral (sp) as well Roxy will have an interesting 'summer cut'.... ...on a happy note. My darling husband is going to be taking TJ to work with him for a while. He owns a landscaping/construction business, so TJ will be riding around in the air conditioned truck all day going out on estimates all over Long Island with his Daddy. ...anyway, PLEASE keep Roxy in your thoughts and prays next week...oh and me too, I am very emotional right now and I am trying so hard to remain postive. I will keep you all updated. |

| Oh my gosh, Nicole! I didn't know about Roxy's problems! I'm so sorry! Big hugs to you and Roxy! I'm sure you're worrying something awful! I feel so bad, but am so glad to see that she should be in very good hands! Bless her little heart! Let me know if there's anything I can do! You can count on prayers from me! Roxy and TJ are so special to me...as are you!!! Best wishes! I will be thinking of you and worrying right along with you! I'm sure she'll be fine and have a quick recovery, but we can't help but worry!!!

| My Maltese, Codie, had surgery on his left rear leg. It was also a severe case of LP. Little roxy will do just fine -- don't you worry. She will be in my prayers as will you and your family.
