You sound like such a wonderful Mom!!! I only wish we could take some of the worry from you...:( I believe that your faith will provide you with the comfort and clarity that you need during this most difficult time. We will be thinking of you & Wittle Man.. I do hope and pray that he continues to improve. Chel... Jazzy's mom... |
Just wanted to drop in and see how Wittle Man is doing now, praying for all to be ok with him, I was so glad to hear in the other posting from you that he was back to eating and doing like before he had the surgery. That was good news. Sometimes humans have to make tough medical decisions regarding their own health care and don't always go along with the Dr.s and sometimes that turns out to be for the best, so whatever your decision is for him please know our prayers and lots of others are with you. Praying that a miracle will come to him through all those that are praying for him. Please keep us updated. Sending a gentle hug to him and a big one to you. Patti and Jack ~~Baby Blessing~~ |

Update I just wanted to thank everyone on here who have been praying and sending good thoughts my way on this matter. After praying allot myself for my little guy and leaning on God to give me a sign or tell me something, I have decided to leave Wittle Man alone. I am not going to do the next surgery because I figure that his life in in the Lord's hands and if he wanted him any different then his will would be done. He is eatting and acting like there is really nothing wrong, he still sneezes, coughs, hacks and has a little something coming out his nose sometimes but it is not all the time and not even half the time. So oh well if my little guy can stand it then I can also. I got really scared when he came down with the runs and didn't know what to think about it all. We as parents to our little ones are certainly going to be concerned and wonder what to do and if we are doing what is right or best for our fur babies, well I know in my heart that I am doing what is right. I believe in miricales and I think my little guy is a BIG MIRACLE. The Lord certainly sometimes teaches us hard lessons when we don't listen to him and I think I have learned on this one. Thanks you all once again and please keep us in your prayers. |

Patti, Just wanted to say thanks for your great words of encouragement. And tell Jack thanks a bunch also. I just have to leave it all up to the Lord and let his will be done. |
I'm so glad that he is doing better. I know how hard this has been on you and, what a tough decision you had to make. Hopefully he will continue to do as well as he is now. Please keep us posted. He is very lucky to have you. |
Prayers are the best form of medicine , you and your little one will be in my prayers. I hope he continues to improve and to live a normal life..... Gina |
My heart goes out to you. I don't know what I would do. We love these little creatures so much, that when the time comes, we have to not be selfish and let them go. Easier said than done, and I just don't know what I would do. He is such a sweetie. Sending lots of prayers your way. Good luck! Tough situation. |
It would seem that there is no "right or wrong" decision. One thing that I would suggest is for you to call Texas A&M University and tell them about your problem. There is no guarantee, as you have stated, but I have known many a breeder to consult with their veterenary medical dept. when they have an unusual problem and it seems that they are quite willing to speak to people. I assume that they are open to teaching opportunities for their students as well as a genuine love and concern for animals. They may be able to suggest a surgeon with experience with this unique surgery in or near your area. Just a thought. I wouldn't hesitate to give it a try. Your "widdle man" is so handsome and what an expressive face! He's precious. Good luck with him. |
I appreciate everyone responce to my post and I would like to say thanks to you all. I am just going to leave it in the Lord's hands and go from there. |
I just stumbled on this older thread and was wondering if there was ever an update on how he's doing now? My thoughts and prayers go out to this special guy!!!! |
Having the Runs I would like to remind people, that when antibiotics are used, the 'runs' is often just a side-effect. The antibiotics kill off the bad germs, but it also kills off the 'good' ones, the ones that the intestinal tract needs to keep running optimally. The best course is to give the patient a little 'live culture' yoghurt; this replaces the killed-off 'good' germs, and helps the digestive system get back on track quickly. A teaspoon of yoghurt for a couple of days is enough; once everything is 'solidified', there is less chance of the patient becoming dehydrated. |
I too would like to know what happened to that gorgeous dog. I pray that he is okay. God bless:) |
