| ? She could be going into her heat cycle? Both Lexie and Juliet did that right before and during their heat cycles...Juliet is still in her first heat. They both swell on most nipples and still not all of them??? :-) ~Tru

| hey... Lexie bagan her heat cycle by swellin on her lower nipples only...after a while the others started to swell but 3 never got swollen until she was almost out of her cycle...oh and she has 2 extra nipples that never swell and are extra tiny (and to add she is missing a nipple one one side too, lol. Funny dog, lol. Watch her area and see if it starts to swell or if she begins licking it alot and you will know if she is going into her heat. That is what both of my girls did shortly after the swelling started (within a week of that! I hope this helps! I think sometimes they don't always swell on all nipples.:-) ~Tru

| Could be she is having a false pregnancy. Polly had one after her first heat. Here nipples swelled and she got milk in some, not all. They say it is common with Yorkies after there first cycle that have other dogs around. Polly even nested. I panicked too I thought she had tumors.

| I try to PM you but I don't think it went through. I had a female who teats started getting knots about 1 year of age. Her first heat was about 8 months. Some felt soft fluid filled and some felt like there was gravel under the skin. It was in both sides in the lower 6 teats. They wanted to take one of the teats off and send in in to be looked at. The day I took her in.... the one teat they were to remove changed form. It went from the gravel feel to soft fluid feel. The Vet said to give it a week to see what the rest of the knots did. They all went down in a little over a weeks time. They said it could have been hormonal. So, if they want to remove one.. ask to wait for a bit and see if they change. Watch them close for Changes. I wish you and your girl the best.....Sherry |
