Good luck with your two puppies. I am sure they will grow up to be good friends. I hope the little one is doing better. The shock of moving to a new home can make them not eat for a while-dangerous in such a young pup. keep giving Nutrical. I would get some puppy formula and wet her kibble with warm water.My pup ate kibble like this when she wouldn't eat it hard. Give a good quality puppy kibble like Nutro or Royal Canin. They have transition kibble for littlies. Also scrambled egg,cottage cheese, etc. Let us know how she is and how she is getting on with the other puppy. Post some photos when things settle down. I forgot to say--if you want to feed wet food i'e. canned, give good quality puppy Nutro etc. But the dry is better for them.However, some food is better than none! :) |
Well we finally got them both to the vet today, shes fine, he got a shot and is sore. The vet just thinks her gums are pigmented, they said just to keep an eye on her, and gave us some Nutri-cal or what ever it is. I dont know how to add photos on here but once i figure it out ill put some on here. |
I'm glad the vet said that your little pup is okay. She is still very tiny and too young to be away from her mother ---so keep a close eye on her. I still can't believe that the "breeder" let this little pup leave its mother 6 weeks. This was - so totally wrong!!!!! Please never recommend him to anyone. Cottage cheese - Doubt it can do anything for anyone's ears!!!! But - my vet did say to give my little 8-week old pup a couple teaspoons of cottage cheese before he went to bed for the night. He said that it has a lot of protein and would stick with him longer and - would this would help both of us get a better night's sleep. It worked. He slept 6 to 7 hours from the first night on......only to wake up and be hungry and ready to go again. I still can't believe your breeder!!!!! Also, if you ever get another pup - you know better now too - My pup at 8 weeks was good sized (big) and eating well - and did very well. But you'll find that most people here think 10 to 12 weeks is a much better age for these little guys to leave their mothers. Good luck! Carol Jean |
