Soo fustrated Ok.. i posted before how chloe sometimes gets sick and wont eat. well shes doing the same thing again now and NOTHING we try will work. I tried to give her a tiny piece of Caesar to get her started on something (because once she gets a start she is usualy good from there) but so far the only thing she has bit was my fingers. My mom put her in the tub this morning because she had been sick, but since she has threw up at least two more times. I realy dont knwo what to do with her, we've tried everything from her Caesar, balogna, tiny pieces of bacon, her dry food, and her treats.. and nothing will work. What it comes down to is she wont eat because shes sick, and shes sick because she wont eat... How do we go about that one? |
I would take her to the vet she may need to be on an antibiotic to get her better. |

I took Remmy to the vet he was having the same issue. But the vet was able to give me some meds that would stimulate his appetite and then some meds to reduce nausea. he was able to eat then keep it down. Chris |
I would suggest taking Chloe to the vet as well. To be on the safe side they are such little babies that they don't have any reserves like bigger dogs. I hope she feels better soon. |
Please Take her to the Vet... Maybe they can help her. She will be in our thoughts and prayers. |
my yorkie was a fussy eater id have to make train and plain sounds to get her to eat god knows what the people next door use to think as i dont have kids lol.she would also be sick often and i could hear her tummy making grumbleing sounds,if i could get her to eat she would be fine.i took her to the vet and it turned out she had a tummy ulcer, the vet gave me some liquid to give her that lines the tummy wall to stop her feeling sick which worked.she did get it now again after that so i would just give her some of it again and she would be ok again for a while.id take the dog to the vets and get her checked out as she might have the samething. |

I have a 7 yr. old yorkie who is a very finicky eater. He is also on a special diet for his liver. He will have spells when he refuses to eat his special food. I searched online and this is what I make for him during these episodes. Oats, scrambled egg, plain yogurt or cottage cheese, & shredded chicken. He eats unbelievable. After a few days on this I can work his special food back in and he eats it as well. |
fustrated too My dog is sick and would't eat anything either, the vet said his low on protein and need to take his meds and eat. well I tried everyhting and he would eat. I'm giving him O/D food from the vet's office, and his still vomiting and not eating. his 3 months and only been with us for 3 days, I've spend more money then I did to buy him. I'm going crazy here cause I don't want to loss him and at this rate I feel like I'm going to. I really don't have anymore money to spend and my kids are already in love and I'm starting to feel like I made a HUGE mistake getting him. I thougth it would be just like getting out lab. just make sure his up to date on his shots and his heathy as a horse; Boy was I wrong. What can I possibly try to feed him that would help his protein. I have to force feed him, cause he will lock his teeth together and I can't get his mouth open and when I do get anything in, he will spit it out. HELPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPP!!! |

My suggestion also is same as above.....bacon and bologna are not good for their little tummies. I always boil chicken and cut up in tiny pieces, boil rice and mix them together. Also the nutri cal is great and so is pedialite so the puppy does not dehydrate. |
My puppy Abby is ten weeks old. This is her first week home and I was having a really hard time getting her to eat as well. I totally understand your frustrations and problem. I put some chicken down for to eat and she gobbled it up. I am not sure if this will help with the protein questions, but maybe it will at least get him to eat a little something. Hope he feels better soon! |
:( First off I am sorry to hear that your little one isn't doing so well. If you have tried everything in your will power and she still didn't eat then the only choice next is to take her to the vet. It maybe something more going on that only meds can heal. I hope she does better and keep us posted. Take care and feel better CHLOE.... :aimeeyork Babe Girl * Mommy :aimeeyork Quote:

I also purchased my puppy actually last week on Monday. He is 4 Months Old and he is 2 Pounds. He ate the first day I brang him home and the next day. Then suddenly he just stops eating and he's gotten thinner. I took him to the vet today and I was told he had parasites. They gave him some shots and told me he would end up vomiting dead worms but he hasn't gotten better so I don't know what to do. I am going to take him to the vet tommorow but I don't know if they are really good. I just don't know! |
