I took my dog to the vet today and they dewormed him and also they told me he doesn't have enough sugar in his body. I really didn't understand be he said to give him pedia-lite and also a syrup but I need to call again because I do not know the name of the syrup. I was really scared last night he was shaking sooo much and he didn't eat at all or wanted his nutri-cal. I hope this works! Thanks for reading!

He was most likely talking about karo syrup. You could also give nutrical thats what most people give. You can get that at Petsmart.

Yes that's what he said. Thank You!! I have nutrical but he didn't even want it he just kept turning his head.

Yadiimarie, I have noticed that when they refuse the nutrical, if you put a small amount of it on their nose they will lick it right off! Thats how I do roxi when she is on one of her frequent hunger strikes. Dont put it where it can get into her nose, away from her nostrils! Keep us posted on how she does.

Have you tried some toddler food, you know "gerber" you can give him some chicken sticks.....carrots things like that... my Gizmo was like that too & I went out & got A bunch of sample bags of dog food and he ended up falling in love with California Natural Chicken & Rice it is made by Natura and it is a really good brand of food, excellent for those that have a sensitive tummy.. good luck to you.. :)

Have you tried the Natural Balance meatroll? It's a good quality of dog food and you can use it as a treat or feed it to fussy eaters as a meal.

Sugar water is also good in those last minute emergencies... :)

Im so sorry so many babies are sick. I hope the pups start feeling better soon. I will have you all in my thoughts and prayers. Please keep us posted.
