Watch for her to vomit blood or pass it in her stools. Did they not take any x-rays to see if something was injurred like the kidneys? They can also go into seizures to. Watch her temp as if she is bleeding internally this might go up. Hope all is well.... |
Please, please don't blame yourself! Accidents happen, and that is why we are here to support each other. I would probably take her to an ER vet. Your vet underreacted because he knows they are usually ok, but for your own piece of mind a second opinion won't hurt. Please keep us posted, I'll say a prayer for your baby. |
Oh My............ Bless your sweet heart! I'm so so sorry! You have gotten some super advice. SO, Hang in there! Remember, it was an accident...........hugs :) |
How terrible!!! It was purely an accident so please try not to be so hard on yourself. Hugs are coming your way and keep us updated. :( |
So sorry to hear Reese is not feeling well tonight. Hope tomorrow brings a better day for you guys. Keep us informed as to his progress. |
I\'m so sorry. I woud do as other said have a number of the ER vet handy just in case. I will keep her in my prayers. |
Oh my goodness I hope she gets better. Things sometimes happen and we can beat ourselves up all we want about it. But you know what....your baby will forgive you. Keep a close eye on her and make sure you give her nutri cal and try getting her to eat and drink. Please keep us posted. |
I\'m so sorry to hear about this accident! I know it must be so tramatizing for you and your puppy. I hope her health returns fully soon! |
I am so sorry, I hope she feels better. Keep us posted! |
I am so sorry...I know you must be beating yourself up over this. Accidents happen and you would have never intentionally hurt your baby. I will be saying a prayer for you and your little one tonight... |
I\'ll keep you in my prayers, and please keep us posted! |
OMG, I know how you feel. Well, not exactly but I dropped a puppy that I was buying from Pat right before I was paying for her. I mean, on a carpeted concrete floor right on the top of her head. She got up, took a couple steps and started walking all crazy. I threw the money to Pat and said "You can\'t keep her cause I dropped her!" and off we went to my vet before she even came to my house. Of course, by the time we got to the vet she was fine, but to this day I remember that. My vet would have given me a set of head injury instructions and internal injuries care. Please awaken her every 1-2 hours all night and make sure she responds. Give her sips of broth or water and as Pat said, Nutrical or whatever she will eat. I will PM you my phone number that you can use if you need any help during the night. I AM NOT A VET OR EVEN A TEC but I am a VEEEEEEERY old nurse with ER experience... Give her Yorkie smoochies from Rini\'s cuties and of course, Rini to.. |
This is just one of the problems with these tiny little dogs. Mine isn\'t so tiny now, but she he as a tiny little puppy - he jumped out of my arms and feel all the way to the floor and slid into the fridge. Like you - this scared me to death also. Please know - so many of us have experienced similar experiences.... Watch your little pup closely. I really hope it ends up none the worse - like my little pup did. Carol Jean |
Poor thing! Accidents are just that..accidents! Hugs sent your way..I hope your baby gets better soon! |
OMG .. I feel so bad for you! You shouldn\'t beat yourself up though .. it\'s not like any of us would intentionally hurt our babies... I pray she heals up quick!! Lis |
