she may be acting a little off because she was scared... i would be too! thanks so much though i was in a bit of a panic and didnt really know what to do... this forum is great and everyone so helpful. |
Oh thank goodness!! Good news!! Excellent! Aren't you a great furmom to take her in?? Nicely done! Poor baby, just needs to get over the trauma, I am guessing. Lots of hugs and cuddles ought to do the trick!! :p |

Im glad to hear shes okay :) :) |
I am so glad she is okay and hope you will move the puppy's area away from the kids....Accidents can happen so fast and often not have such a favorable outcome. You must be so relieved. |
We had an incident yesterday with our baby & son too. I know how worried you feel for both your human and furry kids. Its a terrible feeling. |
GREAT NEWS  :D i knew your baby was going to be ok :D |
I just love a happy ending! :p |
Great! I'm so happy that everything is ok. I'm sure you are so relieved, now you can relax. I can only imagine your worry, we all would have done the same. Had you NOT gone, you would be paranoid, by her every move, wondering, better safe than sorry. :) |
thanks SO much everyone here is great - much thanks from me and snickers...she is still a lil on the "quiet" side but she will get lots of hugs and kisses. i usually gate her in the kitchen/bathroom area because its a large area for her when i leave for work and/or when the kids are a bit riled up to protect her - the area has lots of space and her crate/bed/food etc... it never occured to me she would get hurt from the gate tho i will have to rethink how i have things set up but my son was very upset so i am thinking in the future we will ALL be a little more aware and careful i feel so much better and thanks so much... you guys are great i am so happy to have snickers in our home and as part of our family i would have felt terrible if she was to get harmed in any way... being new to having a yorkie puppy makes for a lot of questions and it was nice that everyone was quick to respond its amazing how quickly we get attached to our furbabies and how much they just become one of our children |
I'm so glad she's ok :) and I bet your poor son feels so bad....It's nice to see a good ending because gates can do some damage - She must be still a little shook up and I hope she gets back to her normal self soon.... I wanted to say hi to a fellow Rhode Islander ! I grew up there was just there for a week last August...I sure miss that pretty state. |
One thing you might consider is the kind of gate that bolts into the wall and you swing open like a door. Those pressure gates are just so unreliable. (As you found out today) I'm so glad everything turned out ok. Poor little Snickers, sounds like you've got yourself a "tough guy". Glad to hear it! |
