| Advice - Potential Advil Problem I noticed Dutch sniffing about the kitchen. A minute later, there was a single tab of Advil on the carpet. Pill was fully intact but it had clearly been in his mouth bc the outer coating was decaying. Obviously I removed it but it is possible (although unlikely) that he found another one and swallowed it. Probably not bc I am extremely diligent about patrolling the floors for pills and it is unlikely that more than 1 would have slipped by me, but it is possible. He is acting as usual and it has been about 15 minutes. At what point can I assume that he's okay? Said differently, if he had eaten one, how long would it be before I would notice a problem and need to call poison control? Thanks. |

| Maybe you should call poison control now, and they could tell you what to look for or what to do if he does start showing symptoms. I bet since you found the pill all intact, except for a little of the coating he will be o.k. Hope everything goes o.k. Kim

I agree, I don't think that it would hurt to go ahead and call. Just to be on the safe side. If they say that he will be fine, then you will be able to relax knowing that he is going to be fine... Hope everything goes ok, keep us informed.
