Please pray for Teddy!! Could I ask you to say a prayer for Teddy, our beautiful 8 year old Yorkie. As my husband was parking his car, Teddy was playing in our backyard when this some dog attacked him. My husband called out for Teddy to come inside and saw him lying there full of blood. He said it was terrifying picture. He took him to the emergency where they had to clean his wounds and make some stitching. I checked on him an hour ago and they said he was resting but the danger is still not out of the picture, because of possible internal bleeding or infections. I am worried sick. They said they’d have to monitor him for a few days. I am so worried. Please please keep him in your prayers. Teddy is almost 9 years old, so he is not an young dog. I am heartbroken to see him in pain. Please please say a prayer for him. I feel really bad asking for this, but I am so worried. |
OMG how very tragic, Prayers going out to sweet Teddy. Never feel bad to ask for help at a time like this, YT prayers have helped many. Please keep us posted we all worry over everyone's babies (((hugs))) |

Teddy got into a fight with a bigger dog some time ago (he started it). Had to have some stitches. That had taught him the lesson. He stays away from aggressive dogs now. I cannot imagine how scared he must’ve been. I am so heartbroken for him. |
I’m so sorry. With the vet is the best place he could be. I will keep y’all in my prayers. |
I can't even imagine what you must be going through. My guy is a rescue, he was surrendered not abused, he was not socialized as a puppy with other dogs so he is on the aggressive side. He is never left outside alone, many dogs run out of their houses and always end up by me. If that were to happen with this dog there would be a fight. At the vets office he wants to take on every dog that is in there, I am very very careful with him, he is 12 pounds but still could get seriously hurt. My heart hurts for your little Teddy, no matter what size they are they are still babies not understanding what is going on and so scared when they are confined and hurting and mamma is not there. Teddy is in my thoughts and prayers have been sent out. Again, please keep us undated on Teddy  |
Thank you all for your prayers. We went to see Teddy this morning and he started walking...well limping. But it is still a bit of progress. They are still monitoring him for internal bleeding and infections. I am a bit relieved, but still very scared. Thank you so much for your prayers. YT is really magical. |
Makes me happy to see some improvement in Teddy, praying for full recovery with no complications, (((hugs))) to you and sweet Teddy. |

Thank you for this update. That is fantastic they will Teddy come home and treat him as an out patient, it will be much less stressful on him to be home, I am so happy for you and Teddy. Please keep us updated (((hugs))) |
Great news that he is better enough to go back home. We are praying for Teddy to fully recover soon  Can not imagine what you all felt for these couple of days. Once Teddy is home you can comfort one another with cuddles. Our neighbour's dog who is my Mike's only friend, a 1 y.o maltese, was attacked by a dog last week.. he was also full in blood, a large rupture on his side. Happened in front of the building, both dogs were on leash, but the big dog's owner lost his hold of him. She said it happened in a matter of seconds(( Poor little baby had to stay in the emergency care and had to have stitches the size of his belly ((( He is feeling much better now and so we hope will Teddy. Please keep us updated. |

As I was driving home today, my husband was holding Teddy, and Teddy just had to look out the window. He is probably also happy to be out of the clinic! |

I am so happy to read that Teddy is improving! I missed your original post, and I cannot imagine how much stress you have had over the last few days. It seems that Teddy is now on the road to recovery, and I hope that you are able to find peace of mind. |
Thank you everyone so much for kindness and your prayers. Teddy is slowly getting better. He doesn’t need to stay at the vet anymore, just come for his daily antibiotics and fluids. He can keep food down. He is still limping, but he is more active than before. He is still scared, but isn’t as miserable. I am so relieved. |
This update just made my day. What wonderful news, I will continue to keep Teddy in my thoughts and prayers until he is fully recovered. Speaking from my own personal experience with dog attack. My now passed girl was not physically attacked, we were walking, a Belgian Shepard we did not see broke loose from it's owner and was upon us before we knew what happened. I scooped my girl up and held her close to my body, that dog would have to get me before it would get my baby. My girl was screaming out of fear, and shaking so violently I thought she would have a seizure. As it turned out the dog was a friendly dog, the owner was there as fast as the dog was. He couldn't apologize enough for not having a tighter hold on the leash. My girl never forgot that experience, everyday that we took our walk she was constantly looking behind her afraid of what may be coming. I tell you this because Teddy may never lose that scaredness, that was a horrible, tragic experience for a wee little baby. I am so very happy Teddy is on the road to recovery. Thank you so much for this update (((hugs))):love: |
Just seeing this today! My goodness I am sure this has been awful for all of you. So glad to see he is improving. Prayers and string healing vibes being sent your way! |
