| HGE and Sepsis... I知 so scared Rushed Mickey to the ER Vet yesterday afternoon about 5pm. Vet said he has HGE. They began the aggressive treatment with antibiotics, IV, etc. By 10 pm he had Sepsis as we. And was critical. By 11 pm with aggressive treatment he was getting better with pulse, bp and such just below. I have called this morning but they were really busy and said would have dr call me back. Mickey is my therapy dog. I知 now dying from Chronic Interstitial Lung Disease Hypersensitivity Pneumonitis. This is why I have been away from YT. He is my lifeline. Anyone have a fur baby that had this? I知 so scared 😟

| Also, onset was VERY FAST. He was fine and playing then bam! He started acting scared like he does in thunderstorms. Restless. Pacing. Had to go outside all the time. Huge liquid diarrhea. Almost colorless water with a pink tinge. Throwing up. After the second diarrhea we were out the door to ER. Vet said if we waited it would have been too late for sure. Always take them in right away. Don’t wait for your vet to open. This happened yesterday on a Sunday. Please pray for my fur baby.

| So sorry to hear about your problems. I don稚 know a lot about HGE ex pet that IV fluids are important. Will send strong healing vibes your way!

| Thanks everyone 🥰 It has been a bumpy ride. There is no known cause but it is common to Yorkies. This evening his blood work is all normal. They are taking him off glucose and decreasing saline other liquids in his IV. He was not eating yet but ate a little canned chicken breast from me when I visited. This is a really nasty thing he got. I never knew about it before. Please keep him in your thoughts and prayers. If he starts to eat he might get to come home tomorrow.
