| Ple My yorkie is just getting her diagnosis of PLE. Endoscope will be in 2 days to find out underlying cause - this will be her 3rd night in hospital and I’m a wreck. I don’t want false hope, but I do need SOME hope from positive outcomes if anyone can share. Nervous wreck they may find cancer or that this can’t be managed. Looking for support and positivity..because most of what I’m finding doesn’t sound good.😞🐶 She is eating well, still has diarrhea, but not being treated with steroids yet sine I’ve been told they can alter the endoscopy findings. PLEASE HELP!!! |

| I am sorry I’ve been off the grid lately. Crazy life. Zoey did not need endoscope YET. She got a definitive dx of Addison’s disease so they need to treat that and get it under control before putting her through a procedure. It could be that she only has Addison’s, but vet is not completely convinced that she doesn’t have PLE as well. However, it will be at least a few weeks to determine if something additional is going on with Zoey. If ALL her symptoms resolve as her treatment tapers to the minimum required to treat Addison’s, then that should be it (after rechecking blood work, X-rays, etc.). But, if she starts showing other signs then we have to do further testing (endoscope) to see what we’re dealing with. Fingers crossed 🤞🏻 this is it! |

| Fingers crossed for you! We recently went through thinking he had PLE but he doesn't and we also did the Addisons test which also came back negative. Jackson has IBD (unofficially, as we did not scope since his symptoms went away with diet change). I believe they tested for PLE in our GI panel we sent out to Texas A&M but I could be wrong but it was non-invasive.
