Hi KatysMom, I was really hoping the same but it’s looking less likely. Pax’s poo was very dark brown and mushy like toothpaste. I thought it was maybe it was the DiaGel I gave him yesterday since that was very dark, but he’s had 2 bowel movements where it’s been it’s like that now. His bowel movements did slow down some since I started feeding only chicken and boiled mash potatoes. He’s only pooped after eating so far the last 18 hours. Pax is behavior is very good. He’s playful, and has good appetite (he was whining to eat the last few meals). He’s not spit up or vomiting any of the food per my other posts. Unfortunately, I return back to work tomorrow after being off the last week so timing of this is terrible. |
Hi PILOTthePuppy, Playful with a good appetite--both positive signs. His BMs sound like the type Katy had from time to time--my super sophisticated word for it was "mushy poo-poo." Her's were usually better a couple of days later--but she generally had only one BM/day. Will keep the paws crossed. Keep them close and remind them that it is Father's Day! You're such a good yorkie parent. Bless you. |
Hey all, just wanted to update. “No news is good news”. Pax and Pilot are both doing well. It appears that Pax has trouble digesting any sort of fat or oils, which we think may have caused his diarrhea over 10 days ago. His ultrasound did show that his pancreas is enlarged, even though his spec cPL is normal. We’ve made an appointment with a holistic vet and nutritionist next week. Thanks again for the support and advice for the past few weeks. |

I was thinking and thinking about you guys yesterday morning. Your little ones are so precious--and you are such a lovin' pet papa to them. I have thought your doggy diet was top drawer, so will be interested to learn what the nutritionist/holistic vet has to add. Hope you will share. Thank you for the update. |
