Put it right back on after baths and never leave the house without him having a collar on. Dogs also need to be tethered or in a crate in the car or they could get seriously hurt in an accident.

All lost dog ads say the dog just had a bath and didn't have a collar on. :rolleyes::confused:

MICROCHIP and you never have to worry...AND put gates up to prevent him from getting out an open door!!!

Yep. We have multiple gates ALL over our house, for various reasons/situations -- all to keep our babies safe and/or contained if/when needed.

It's not okay or right, in any way, to lose a pet multiple times. If a person cannot keep an animal in safe conditions - then they need to give it up to someone who can.

Having sick children is not an excuse for losing a pet, not ever. This dog was lost due to negligence. That's the truth and it really disappoints me and I'm scared for this poor dog's future, to be perfectly honest. :(

So so so so so happy! Praises to the Lord for answered prayers and the hands on earth, who catch, care for and return missing Yorkies! I'm SO relieved and happy for you.

If having a microchip would give you even only a 1% better chance of getting him back should he get out again, and seems like most dogs that go missing do escape more than once, it would be WELL worth it, wouldn't it?

How are the kids?

I'm so happy for your baby's return I'm going to celebrate with a Diet Coke with a teaspoon of real sugar in it! :):):)

Unfortunately mircochipping doesn't really work here. It's only done when the dog goes on a plane abroad and is a requirement by the destination country. I am looking at the alternative gps trackers instead.

👌👌 I think we all need a bit of sugar go sweeten up. Thank you for asking, my kids are back at their daycare/preschool today. So relieved.

Unfortunately mirco chipping doesn't work here. You can get it microchipped but there is no system of reading/tracking it. So we are looking to have a gps tag or something like that instead.

Then do what I suggested...put gates up! Honestly, I would do that before any micro chipping or gps trackers.
You need to stop this before he ends up stolen or DEAD.

A regular tag with your phone number would work as well.
